I filed a formal complaint with Choice Hotels, the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Beach ***** *** **** ******r after my experience here in August 2023. Serious health code and fire code violations in my room, which included a bloody and semen stained mattress, rag stuffed into fire sprinkler in bathroom, black mold inside airconditioner that also had broken plastic parts, broken lamp shades on each side of the bed and desk with paint splatter all over it. Made two videos - one of the room and one of the front desk employee's response/reaction to me when I demanded she come into my room and look at the room and tell me it was up to corporate standards. We left and stayed elsewhere. We were charged for staying the night anyway. I had to battle to get my refund back. Very, very unsavory clientele using this hotel. We felt unsafe and worried about our car in the parking lot. Called Virginia Beach ****** and two officers responded saying this hotel is a "known problem with frequent calls for service in the community." After doing research, I learned a ******** had been committed on the property in ****. Owner's name is Rachel ****** She has owned the hotel since ****.Review from Pat L

The owners should be ordered to live in this filth, they should get a zero rating and shut down. If I could put a few picture on this review, you would be in shock. The web site is a lie. There is no breakfast room, There is no ice, your lucky if you got a towel to dry yourself. THERE ARE NO AMENITIES. I was tired and just wanted a bed to sleep in. I remained in my clothes and left the next morning. I would like my **** refund back, but I doubt that I will ever see it. DIsgraceful! I want a full refund, idc how else you all can accommodate me. I don't even want to stay at another establishment with this name. I booked a room for 05/21/22 check out next day. Pictures online of rooms weren't nice but they were decent/doable. but when I checked in, it looked like I checked into a CRACKHOUSE! I will happily provide the pictures/videos I have of that room. I didn't even stay there, checked in and checked out 3 minutes later after viewing the room I booked another room in another hotel. The experience all way around was just horrible!Review from Mary S.

It is a very filthy place. There was prostitutes lurking in the hotel . The room was dirty even after they said they cleaned it . The outlets were uncovered. The floor was stained with dog urine and dark spots. We told them about it and they moved to the same kind of room . We couldn't stay there and asked for a refund which they assured us , we would receive one within two to five days . It has been two weeks. We called them on numerous occasions to resolve this . The girl at the front desk said she didnt care . It is obvious that they don't care or else the hotel wouldn't be in the shape that it is in . It was very disappointing and disgusting.
