We purchased my Kia in 2023 brand new and I traded in my vehicle. During the trade in, they lost my original license plate that I was going to transfer over to my new vehicle. I had to make 4 follow-ups to find the status of my new plates, as the temporary ones continued to expire because it took so long. This was also right after delivering our baby. They also misplaced copies of my drivers license and I had to provide it TWO additional times. During the paperwork process, my husband found no less then 2 errors finance related that was brushed off as not a big deal. Fast forward to recently where I began to receive tolls for a car that was not mine. Realizing, I received plates from Kia that are one digit off of my current plate/registration. June 7th while there for routine maintenance, we spoke to the Finance manager who assured me they'd investigate and get back to me. 12 months, 4 phone calls (left voicemails), 1 chat, 1 email later...I have received no response. I have had to pay these tolls to avoid them going to collections. I am also now having to take time off work to go to the *** to get this corrected, through Kia's error. Someone is now driving their car with a license plate attached to my name. Their lack of response, care, or ownership over this issue should be reviewed.Review from Mathias O

Stay away from the GMC service department. From the service writer ******* *****", to service dispatcher ***** ******* to service manager Frank *******. They all lack integrity & lie relentlessly! Sent my 2015 Yukon in with engine issues in February. After not hearing from them after they recieved it the interaction started off with "as you've already heard your engine is shot" but was never called and told anything. That should have been the first sign when they couldn't even manage to keep me informed. That total disregard for customer service, bold faced lying and lack of integrity continued for the next 2 1/2 months! The phone calls attempts on my part numbered in the dozens, with a similar amount of voicemails. It got to the point Mike would just text me so he could then ignore me for days at a time by giving the appearance he was putting forth effort. Requested a loaner car and Frank ******* bold faced lied and said there were no vehicles available, hard to believe a dealership with over 10 locations has no cars. Apparently he got upset when I told him I didn't believe anything he said. Anytime I would call Kenny ******* he would never return any calls except the 1 time I did talk to him it was because his hand was forced by another dealership rep. After the almost $*** job was "completed" 2 months after dropping it off it came back with issues it didn't go in with. It came back with the tailgate actuators not working, starting issues (they put on the invoice i knew about it but declined to replace the battery) ( wasnt the battery ) and a hole in the AC compressor. Had them tell me I put it there, even though it worked when it was dropped off and they had possession of it for 2 months leading up to that. When I picked up the vehicle I inquired about my engine warranty and Mike told me he didn't have anything, but would write on the invoice it had a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty then sign it for me! Obviously that is how you warranty engines at Southern GMC.Review from Cindy F

In my opinion, I was scammed from this business. I searched online for a specific car and was contacted by the dealership in question. I was told they had this particular car on the lot. I went to the dealership after I read through the sticker price on this particular vehicle. The MSRP on the vehicle was a little over ***. When I was handed the price and the "you don't have a choice" add ons such as lojack, the base price was ***, not including the no optional options. I mentioned this was ** over the sticker price and was told this is due to demand and supply. I stated you, the dealership contacted me, stating you had some on the lot, so the supply is not an issue in this instance. Also, you have to pick a package or all packages, so there are even more charges. Then of course the tax, title and tags. A car with a STICKER price of *** and add-ons that were not upgraded optional add-ons, ended up being ***. I have never in my life felt more scammed. The ad, the website, the sticker price, that I have a copy of stated MSRP of ***. How in the world does the base price change to ***???? I ended up paying *** for a base model car when the top model of this car starts at ****Review from Terry M

3/11/2024 My check engine light came on and since the end of January 2024 Southern KIA has not responded to a request made by the KIA tech center in California to supply pictures or video of the valve train. At this point there is no agreed to diagnosis of what the problem is. Any warranty repair work cannot proceed unless the KIA tech centers approve it. The KIA tech center and customer Care group has tried to contact them at multiple times but cannot get through because the dealer phone system doesn't work and the dealer is not responding to other forms of requests. I go into the dealer several times each week to see if the status has changed. I informed them customer care has tried to contact them but they just shrug their shoulders and apologize for not getting to it. They even make promises to send the requested picture of the valve train in but it never gets done. I need a reliable car for my wife to take my daughter, who has cancer, to a specialist located in NYC several times a year to monitor and treat her condition. Since I do not have another reliable car we had to go out and purchase another car. The lack of responsiveness has caused a hardship and is costing us money. I need to get the car repaired so I can sell it and get it off our insurance policy.Review from Margo G

My 2017 Buick Envision was in the shop and still is since August 5, 2023 for replacement of the motor to the sunroof. While there it was farmed out to a private garage who specializes in sunfroofs and while there an employee backed the car into another car and I just learned today my insurance has to pay for the damages. I was not told about the accident but found out via a letter 3 days after because I was copied on it to the person who wrecked my car. When I confronted the assistant at the dealers he said he was just going to call me about it. Right. January 26, 2024 I told them to give me a deal on a 2023 Envision because they said that I needed compensated. Do not know where the deal was but I had no choice but to get rid of the car. I do not think they know how to repair cars and they are not honest.Review from Paul K

Stay away from this dealership, I went there with credit approved from my credit union. Salesperson said they would like to try to meet my interest rate or at least come close to it, but I would have to put down a **** hold on the car while they did the financing. They could not meet the financing so I asked the woman to put the money back on the card, several emails later she told me it was now a non-refundable deposit. The last email I got from the sales woman, was that she resigned from her job as a salesperson with Southern Kia, because she knows I should have got my hold money back, and it's the way that dealership does business ,and she can no longer take part of it, she said they need to be more transparent and stop doing this. So good for her for resigning. I have started a case with Kia America, and I'm in the process of disputing this with my bank. I ended up buying a Chevrolet from OBX Chevrolet, what an experience that was so pleasant it's unbelievable, the sales manager at the Chevrolet dealership told me that southern Kia has to refund my card by law.Review from Nicole C

Absolutely terrible. If you're looking for an honest dealership, stay away. We put a deposit on a car 4 weeks ago at the end of May. Our salesman, Moose, told us it was not spoken for so we put our deposit, it was in transit, and we were waiting on it to arrive. Checked in with Moose for updates on the arrival. Last we heard it was Due around July 1st. We also had the VIN from our paperwork and would receive updates. We got a VIN update it was in ** and passed inspection but no one notified us. This was odd as 5 days earlier, Moose told us it was expected any day. When we inquired they informed us the car we put a ** deposit on 4 weeks ago had been sold to someone else. They gave some stories about not realizing, blah blah blah. A bunch of lies to justify their extremely unprofessional tactics. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place and these unprofessional, dishonest people.
