  I had been with Palmer Insurance for one year, but decided to cancel due to them bumping my annual premium up $400 because, "Insurance companies are dealing with profit loss." This was not the issue. The issue is the fact that when I changed my address, they chose to withhold information regarding a charge to my account based on where my car is parked. I can understand the policy and the charge itself, and had I been notified at that time, I would have paid it then. To further an already unethical and illegal situation, they NEVER notified me of these charges and tried telling me there's nothing they can do. I spoke directly with Concord, and the woman I spoke with told me that Palmer is able to see how much the fee is at the time of changing my address. This means, they knowingly omitted a fee they are LEGALLY required to notify their clients of. Yet, when speaking to ***** Palmer himself, he argued with me telling me they didn't do anything wrong/illegal/unethical, and stayed consistent with "you need to take responsibility because there is nothing we can do." Additionally, he told me he didn't know if they could see the price, directly contradicting Concord. ***** ********* and ***** Palmer are reflecting incredibly poorly on their business as well as *******. I would like it to be known that they will NOT be transparent about their fees, and they will say they can't do anything when that cannot be the case. I will be contacting the VT Commissioner of Insurance as well as seeking legal counsel on the principal of Palmer Insurance practicing in BAD FAITH. This is highly inappropriate, unethical, and illegal. I will NOT be sending them another cent. The one thing Palmer Insurance Group WILL do is repeatedly explain what you understood the first time they explained it, coming off as lying, condescending and greedy insurance agents. This will not be stood for by me, and I will encourage others to sit down too. STOP taking advantage of people who rely on your service.
