  Details LLC has a written contract with us to paint our house trim, with a clearly specified date to begin their work. Though this date was 6 weeks into the future, the owner requested 50% cash upfront to hold our date in their schedule.When our window for this scheduled work arrived, this contractor was a no show. He said that hed show up the following day. Again, an no show without any communication.After phone calls and texts, plus a visit to his business location we finally heard back that our work was to be delayed further. We were then guaranteed a later start date. We were told that the owner had let his crew go and all work would be done by the owner.After the owner didnt show on the third start date promised, we asked simply for our 50% down payment to be returned as we had lost all confidence in this contractor. We have had no further communication from this contractor who has not returned our texts or calls, nor has he returned our down payment.

  We had a really bizarre experience with Details, LLC. ***** was getting married and wasn't with his team the whole time. He was very preoccupied. His team was extremely inadequate. They didn't remove all the wallpaper and instead painted over it, they hung wallpaper horizontally instead of vertically (huh??). It had to be redone but the seams are noticeable and the wallpaper is lifting already. They forgot to remove wallpaper from the small wall beside the refrigerator. They got paint on our window seat cushions which we had to have recovered, there was paint on our leather chair and my husband's armoire in the bedroom and there was paint on the ceiling. The lines were not lines; they painted onto the frames of the windows. He painted our den area the wrong color because he got confused about what a den versus a living room was and he charged us to fix it! ***** pressured me to pay him the remaining half of what I owed him because he needed it for his honeymoon. And that was the last we saw of him. We've called him, texted him, emailed him and phoned him again. He says he will come over and he doesn't show. Really disappointed in what I thought would be a "Detailed" job. Details? That's a joke. His team butchered our house and ***** ghosted us. We paid him over $13,000.
