    On 04/12/24 I came into this establishment to have my nose ring jewelry changed. I was treated with the upmost disrespect, and disregard as a paying customer. I also felt eerily uncomfortable after a comment was made by the piercer (****). I told the manager ***, that I wanted the nose ring jewelry to be the same size. Unfortunately, I received two different sizes, even though I was charged for the same jewelry size which was more costly then they larger hoop I received. I was also charged for the jewelry change out, which I later discovered was apart of the jewelry cost, and that jewelry charges are only for customers that bring in their own merchandise. On top of that, the charge of $14 for the change was shown on my receipt as a tip. I was made to believe that I was being charged for a service, when in reality, that wasnt morally true. I asked the piercer to remove the jewelry to compare the sizes but he refused. It wasnt until I got home and took them out myself that my concern was confirmed. I called the store to share my concern, and I was treated in a condescending manner. The piercer stated that he has been in this line of work for 8 years, and that he knows more than I do, and the jewelry was the same size, but physical evidence that theyre not the same size, dictates his exclamation, and bullying someone into getting them to believe otherwise is horrendous. Also stated that there was nothing he could do for me, and continuously called me hun when I asked him not to, in a very hostile way. So I was charged $62.43, to receive product that was not correct, and a tip, I did not authorize. I tried to get this situation fixed, and work with the merchant, but their refusal made it impossible. I told them they could keep the jewelry, as it was not what I paid for, and they refused. I would like to be reimbursed for this funds.

    My name is ******* and I am the district manager for Body Jewelry Plus. First and foremost, on behalf of BJP, I would like to apologize for your experience the other day at our Factoria location.We do take customer service seriously and we do value all of our customers, so I apologize that you didnt have a positive experience. With that being said I would like to take a moment to clarify a couple of things. For a jewelry change, we do charge a service fee for each changing. That fee is $7 each which would be the $14 you were charged for that service. This is a standard fee that all of our stores charge for this service, regardless of whether or not you brought your own jewelry in or if you purchased jewelry from us. That fee is not included in the price of the jewelry. I can understand where it might have gotten confusing though, thinking it was a tip for the piercer. That is simply how we ring up the service in our system and I can assure you that charge is not a tip for the piercer, it was  actually the service fee for the 2 changes. As far as the jewelry, the receipt does note that two of the same jewelry was rung up, both the same size. If you did in fact receive 2 different sizes for some reason, then we have no problem fixing that issue. We would need to see the jewelry and compare the sizes to make that determination and if in fact they are two different sizes, then we can swap that out and get you the correct sizes, no problem at all. We would be more than happy to help you with that and can also offer for another piercer to put them in for you at No charge. Would you be able to come back in and bring us the jewelry so we can take a look and see what we can do for you, to help fix and resolve this concern?

    I originally went into this shop for a belly button piercing. When the piercer marked it, I specifically asked her if I had the right anatomy for it and she said I was perfect. She then pierced me incorrectly and extremely painfully. I went ahead and got the opinion of several other piercers and every single one told me to take it out as it was not done properly. I called the shop and they agreed to give me a refund if I came back to remove it, however, when I got there, they refused a refund, laughed at me, ganged up on me, including both head managers and told me my piercing was fine. I had to force them to take it out. TERRIBLE customer service. I will have permanent scars and have to get it repierced by an actual professional.
