I have emailed the complaint back to see if they received the new deposit check that was mailed out.  I also revised the move out statement that is attached to show a credit/refund of $280.00 for the touch up painting.  I emailed ***** the same copy.  I hope this resolves the issues at hand and I am waiting for a response back.

    Sincerely,

I resided at Maple Park Apartments in ********** for one year. My original roommate (who moved out in November, 2023, and I both paid a $750 security deposit at the start of the lease in April 2023 -- so a total of $1500. My roommate moved out in November but the apartment management would not return his portion of the deposit at that time. They said they would return the full deposit at the end of the year-long lease. During that year, my apartment had many maintenance issues -- mold on the walls, water leaks from apartment above me, bathroom air fan didn't work, toilet clogged easily, etc. I took good care of the apartment, and requested that the apt maintenance team fix these issues but many of these issues did not get fixed in a timely manner or at all. The mold on the walls was of particular concern to me as it can cause major health issues. I know that the people living below also had mold issues so bad that they had to move out. That said, I did take good care of the apartment and the apartment manager told me that we would receive $500 of my $1500 security deposit on or around March 21st - the last day per the contract for when the apartment was required to return the deposit. I have requested a detailed summary of why they are only returning $500 of the $1500 and still haven't received the deposit or an explanation. The Apartment manager tells me when I call that the "check is in the mail" but as of 10th of April, I still haven't received the explanation or the check.

*********************** did not pay a deposit of $1500. The deposit amount for our 2 bedroom apartments is $750. The only reason ****** would have had a higher deposit is if she did not qualify fiscally, however, she had a cosigner meaning we did not ask for an additional deposit in leu of approval. I have attached ******** Financial Move Out statement showing that the starting deposit was $750, and that we processed it within the legal time frame (21 days of last day of the lease). ****** was also emailed and 1st class mailed a copy of her Financial Move Out.

Logged into the system Maple Park uses to co-sign (guarantor) a lease for my daughter (21 years old) and to my knowledge completed and submitted the lease. Over a week later contacted by the management company that the lease was not completed and there is now a $200 fee that cannot be waved or my daughter must notify her roommate that she will not be moving in.There was never a notification sent to me that the lease was incomplete before the deadline.
