Gift cards were purchased under Rejuv Massage and Spa.Around 2019, I wanted to buy a gift card from Rejuv and found out the ownership changed to Manette Day Spa. I spoke with the owner of Manette Day Spa and told her I had Rejuv gift cards. At that time she said we could still use them to pay for *********** services. The owner of Manette Day Spa did not inform me that I needed to use them within a certain timeframe. My understanding in **************** gifts dont expire. The gift cards were given to my dad as a gift for several occasions. After he passed we found them in a drawer. We have been slowly using them and giving them to friends to use during the Pre Covid years. Now that massage places are opening up again and COVID has reduced in Kitsap County, we want to start getting massages and use these gift cards.About 4 or 5 weeks from today, 7/25/22, a friend wanted to make an appointment at Manette Day Spa and was told by the owner she was no longer accepting gift cards. The remaining cards we have range in price from $75 $85 plus tips and the card numbers: ****, ****, ****, ****, ****, ****, ****, ****, and *******. Resolution: We would like to use these gift cards towards the Manette Day Spa services since they took over the business, current clients, building, and phone number from Rejuv Massage and Spa.

. I was never the owner of Rejuv Massage and Spa and When I opened my business, I opened a NEW business. I was able to talk with the landlord of the building Rejuv did business out of and signed a lease. The owner of Rejuv closed her business in July of 2019 and I opened up my business in August of 2019. When I opened my business I met with my attorney and he stated I had 0 obligation to take on those gift cards but if I wanted to stay in good graces with the community to accept them for atleast the 1st year establishing business in Manette. We were in business for 7 months then Covid hit. We were closed from March 16th 2020 to June 1st 2020 and continued to take on those gift cards from the prior business. It wasn't until Jan 2021 that we stopped taking on those gift cards and if we were to continue to take on someone else's debt we would not be able to survive as a small business. If she has cards purchased from My business (Manette Day Spa) we have no problem taking those cards in.  Thank you for your time. us why here...

I am rejecting this response because:  See attached document where in the Manette Day Spa ******** page welcomes "new and former Rejuv clients."  On the page someone asked about the gift cards and the response was yes but again nothing in writing for expiration dates.  Therefore it appears to me the owner of Manette Day Spa was aware and took on the gift cards once the place was opened after Rejuv closed.  It didn't appear she was creating a new business since she reached out to the Rejuv cliental.

    Sincerely,
