I purchased my **************************************** December of 2022. I paid $20,000 for it. They promised to have sold a safe vehicle. My front end on my vehicle started bouncing really bad the last 4 weeks. I took it into ******************* thinking that the tires were out of balance and was told that the tires were bare and I was driving on the steel belts exposed on the tires. Value **** told me that they had done a tire rotation prior to selling the car The tire technician at **** ******************* told me they had never rotated the tires and the wear is because the front end had not had an alignment done has worn through the tire and making it unsafe. I've only had the car 3 months so I have not put that many miles on it to go through down to the steel belts. This is the third vehicle I have bought from value **** for all vehicles have been used the first one had a transmission issue The second vehicle was a 2017 **** escape that I put a lot of money into because of recalls and major oil leak and water pump problems and of course I had to pay for all that out of pocket, in the end I driven the car **** esacape 4 years and the transmission went out on me. That's when I traded it in for the 2016 **** Equinox. They told me the trade-in value was $11,000 but they took $3,000 off the top because they didn't know what was wrong with my **** escape so I had a $7,000 trade in for my **** or ***** Equinox and I was okay with that thinking that this vehicle was safe for me to be driving and it actually was not. The tires could have blown out on me when I was driving in the interstate going from ******* to ****. The vibration in the front end was so bad I was afraid to drive it anymore after that which led me to take my car to Les schwabs.I don't know what kind of resolution I could get I would appreciate it if they would pay for the new tires all four of them that I have to have put on my car at this point in time I have two new tires on the front and the rear has 6 mo of wear.

To whom it may concern we have been in contact with *********************** in regards to her complaint that was not brought to our attention until we received the BBB complaint. We spoke about how we should have been contacted first to try and handle this matter from the start. ***** brought us in one of the tires and also a copy of the bill from *******************. I am currently in contact with the Owner of our store in regards to coming up with a solution for this situation.

    Complaint: 19891306

I am rejecting this response because: I did contact them on 4-3-23 between 12:30 and 1 pm. ***** said he'd get back to me once I explained my situation. He took my name and number. I left to my Dr **** at 2 pm. ***** called me back Monday night around 5 pm to ask me when I could bring the damaged tire by. After explaining I worked M-F 8-5 and it would be difficult to get the tire there before they closed. ***** responded that I should call him the night I'd drop tire off and he'd stay later.

I called ***** after work on 4-4-23 to tell him I'd be dropping the tire off if he wanted to wait for me before closing. He said he'd wait. I dropped my tire off around 5:30-5:45 ish. ***** was not kind to me, lectured me about contacting the BBB and that's not how to get a business to work with me. He was loud, unkind and not very approachable. I explained I've bought 3 vehicles from them, all have had problems, to which he replied "you haven't talked to me about them now have you?" I did talk to him about this tire issue. He rudely took my damaged tire and as he walked back into the building told me he'd be in touch the next day after talking with the owner. I was left standing there not knowing what to do so I got in my car and left.

I heard from *****, via text, that he wanted a copy of my ******************* statement. I complied and asked if he wanted a physical copy or would a pic sent to him be ok. He replied pic would be ok if it's a good one. I sent pic with text that said let me know if this is a good one. I've heard nothing back from him.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

We will be cutting a check to ***** for the cost of 2 new tires. We however will not be paying other fee's to ***** due to the fact that we could've gotten the tires cheaper and installed them ourselves had we been contacted by her originally before she went to *******************.

    Complaint: 19891306

I am rejecting this response because:  I believe all 4 tires should be replaced by the dealership.  I believe this because they had the opportunity to replace them prior to selling me the car.  I would like to see a copy of the inspection that was done prior to placing the car back on the market. I am not asking for anything more than what would have been done had the inspection been done properly.  I have contacted 2 different business regarding this sitution and both suggested I ask for a copy of the inspection.  Both also agreed that the dealership had an opportunity to replace the tires at a lesser cost while the vehicle was on their lot prior to my purchase.  I went to Les Schwabs because I thought I had unbalanced tires and they could fix it quickly.  I had no idea the tires where in such bad shape, and dangerous to drive on.  I made a decision that kept me safe while driving.  The dealership is not open on Saturdays or Sundays and I would not have even thought to go to a dealership for a tire issue.  I have always gone to Les Schwabs for my tires. Whitneys states they can get the tires for less than what I paid, they can get a business discount from Les Schwabs. I know this because I asked about it. I am not asking for anything unreasonable here, I am asking for them to make this right by replacing all 4 tires as they should have prior to selling the vehicle!  I am willing to pay for the alighment, that should have been done prior to selling the car, but I am willing to pay for that myself.  I replaced worn out windshild ***** 3 weeks after purchasing the car, I ahve paid for the ******* mile tune up.  I am not asking for anything back on these things even though they should have been done before the sale as well! I bought a used cr, so I get that part, but I thought I was buying a safe car and trusted the dealership to have done their job to make it safe.

    Sincerely,
    ***********************

Here is the inspection. Obviously a mistake on our part for not listing tread condition that is why we agreed to pay for the 4 tires.
