Windermere Property Management is a property management company for ************************* owned by ****, LLC. I moved into Chelsea ******* *********************************************************************** unit 15 on November 1st, 2017. When I moved in Himalayan Homes owned by **** LLC was the management company that ran Chelsea *******. In 2018 Windermere Property Management took over the management of ************************* and ****************************************** was assigned as the on-site manager. When I moved out of unit 15 and into a larger townhome, unit 1 ***** did a walk through without me after I requested someone to be present. I got charges more than my deposit, as I knew i would with no one present. There are many people at Chelsea ******* that would love to complain against the property manager ***** and Windermere but are afraid of retaliation. I feel that Windermere needs to be audited. I have talked to many people and not one person has ever gotten their deposit back and been charged above and beyond the deposit. My deposit, or anyone else deposit, should not be used for Windermere not to have to pay for a unit to be ready for the next tenant. No matter what you do you will not get your deposit back from Windermere. Tenants have even hired professional cleaning services and still did not get the deposit back. If they want to upgrade the flooring or pay their workers to do maintenance for everyday living, I do not feel we should bear that cost. ***** is a bully to the tenants of Chelsea *******, and nothing has been done.Windermere expects a unit to be moved in by the new tenant with nothing done by Windermere. No cleaning, painting nothing. I have obtained an attorney in this matter to also assist me with the issues of my deposit being taken and being bullied and having to live in a hostile living environment. I have PTSD and anxiety and lived in a constant state of fear of her retaliation.I have attached the full explanation plus the letter from Windermere.

    Complaint: 20840505

I am rejecting this response because:

I do not appreciate being told I have never said anything about ***** and her bullying. That is the biggest lie yet from Windermere. If ****** remembers correctly, I have actually gone to the owner's son ****** and told him what I was going through. ****** was the manager when I initially moved into Chelsea ******* and was always nice to us and treated us like humans, unlike Windermere. ****** was the one who did my lease renewal walk through and said nothing about any pet "odors" and renewed our lease. She is making us sound like we destroyed the unit and are subhumans living in filth! I do have text messages from ***** asking us if she we could take photos of our unit so they could be used on websites etc. because we are so clean. On two of our annual inspections, she did not even do a walk through with me because she said we were clean and didn't have to worry about us. I also have photos. There is a reason they would not answer my calls or called me back to schedule a move out walk through. I even said I did not want the same thing to happen again. When ****** did my walk through, I even mentioned to her she was the one who helped me with the issues I had with ***** and asked me how things were going now.

I find it very unprofessional when she responded by saying I loved it there so much I moved into another unit. Talk about victim shaming. This is complete retaliation by ***** and ****** for going to the owner after I moved out of unit 15. If I had known what they were going to do I would have never switched units. By the time I got all the charges I was already in the new unit. I could handle ***** and her attitude for the most part, it was the blatant over charges that were put against me after I spoke with the owner about how she was treating me and the other tenants. I think ****** should tell the truth that there were a few meetings with the owner a few times and other tenants over a civil liberties violation of one tenant and a harassment charge from another. I was asked by those tenants if I would give them the owners contact information as I had complained myself.

I also have many witnesses that will attest that my home never smelled of pet. People were amazed that it didn't who owned pets. I also have witnesses that helped me move out and clean that are willing to write letters stating the unit was in pristine condition when I left. And as I stated before I also have photos of the unit when I moved out.

The owner of Chelsea ******* will be getting all of this documentation as well as they were named in my complaint to the Attorney General of Washington State.

****** did not give me my deposit back after moving out of unit 1 in good faith. That is a blatant lie. I have e-mails. I also have videos and photos of unit 15. They did not depreciate the carpet as per the *** code or any other normal wear and tear of the unit. We went over the carpet coming up at the transition areas. It was due to being installed improperly and using very cheap carpet. After 5 years of vacuuming the carpet, it was actually starting to become bald in some areas it was so cheap. When they replaced it, they charged ME for the price of the upgraded carpet they installed. The only reason she gave me anything back was I had to get the owner's son involved again. I do have an e-mail from ****** stating that her and the owner were going over my dispute, only then did I get a partial refund.

Windermere is just trying to flip the cost of everything onto the old tenant. To have a former tenant have to basically turn the unit and have it in move in condition for the new tenant with nothing done by the property management company is absurd. They break the laws of the *** by not taking into consideration normal wear and tear or depreciation value. I have all the paperwork if needed.

    Sincerely,

    Raven Corvus

This is an HOA. We bought a townhome in 2017. In May of 2021 they sent out a notice saying they were going to resume in person inspections of our neighborhood. We were having our driveway filled in with concrete in May, which I have proof of. We were fined for the placement of our garbage cans. I was told I had to send in a photo showing proof of it being rectified. Which I did. For some reason they charged us 4 additional fines with no explanation as to why. They have done this to numerous other townhome owners. IT IS NOT FAIR. This business has no ethics.
