    I ordered a sectional about 3 weeks ago I unboxed it set it up noticed there was 2 rips on it I called the furniture store they told me to file a claim. I sent them pics of the rips like they wanted sent those to them, they wrote back again and wanted the same pics, and a pic of the whole couch, haven't heard back from them on the second set of pics. I'm very angry that they would give me a couch with rips in it. I paid ****** I would like to get some money back.**********

    I ordered 2 lamps on Dec. 10, 2023. Payment was made and received by Modern Home Furniture.The lamps never arrived. My calls and emails to the business have not been answered. I did finally talk to someone on Dec. 23, but they said they could not help me, that someone would call me back within 30 minutes. That did not happen.I have reported them to my bank, ***** Fargo, as a fraudulent company. I want my money back.*************************** **********************************************************************

    I would give 0 starts If I could. I purchased a sofa and they said it will be delivered in 4 weeks other wise we'll give you refund. It was more than 4 weeks so I asked to refund. She gave me a return receipt of refund of $1586 and i never got money back. I checked with my bank and they said they never see a transaction from merchant for refund. I went back to merchant and they said we approved it check with your bank. I think I am going to take legal action against merchant. Bank never lies about transactions; so it must be the furniture shop.

    To preface, If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased a couch from Modern Home Furniture 5/21/22 and was told in person by the representative that the order would be guaranteed to arrive by early/mid June. However, ever since a good experience in the store there has been nothing but problems.There has been a complete lack of communication and disregard for my time as a customer in addition to continually giving me inaccurate information on delivery dates after this purchase. I called their phone line multiple times during their regular business hours and it regularly takes 5-6 phone calls at minimum in order to reach a representative to ask about our order. Then, each time they said it was being delayed a week or 2. This went on for several weeks until I finally got fed up with it and asked to cancel the order as of today only to be informed that you can only cancel an order by sending them an email.In addition to not getting your order and being roped around on time, they charge an unreasonable 20% stocking fee on something that was likely never to be delivered in the first place considering they didn't send a single email or phone call for the entire duration of my order. They clearly do not care about customer service and I would not be surprised if they made more money on cancellations and their restocking fee than anything else with the abysmal treatment of their customers. I regret not looking at the rest of these reviews before walking in to their store to avoid the complete headache that this place has bestowed upon me.

    We purchased a couch from Modern Furniture last summer for our new home. We were told up to 14 weeks due to the pandemic, no big deal we were patient to wait and paid up front in full over $1000+. Around 12 weeks after purchase, I email to check in since there is no actual number to call to reach a live person. I get an email back saying it will arrive in the warehouse in 3 more weeks and they will call to schedule delivery. 3 weeks goes by and we have heard nothing so I email again. Here's the best part, they told me the manufacturer had discontinued the couch we ordered and that they had informed me on a specific date 2 months prior. I asked how and what number they contacted, even went thru my phone **** for the date and few days prior and after, no contact whatsoever was made and again 3 weeks prior they gave me a date for arrival. So we requested to speak to a manager to refund our money immediately. Now all the sudden they had the same couch in their warehouse that they can give us cause it was never claimed. We needed a specific shape due to our fireplace, I confirmed multiple times verbally and in writing it is the exact model we ordered and were assured it was. Upon delivery from a 3rd party company, the nice gentlemen set the couch up and sure enough the chaise is one the wrong side. Now Modern is refusing to take the couch back and told me to wait for a call which I refused as I have animals and saw where this was headed. I could see the box outside at this point and it was not the same model number. So after essentially being held hostage in my own home with two gentlemen stuck in the middle and couch I didn't want I finally decided to use it in a different room and eat the $1000+ to simply get Modern out of our lives. This place is a scam through and through. They should be shut down immediately and we are perusing legal action as well. It pains me to even give one star. I recommend you run as fast as you can away from this slimy sham of a "business".

    I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, this business has no actual phone you can call and talk to a customer service member. If you buy online. Theyll over sell you an item they know they dont have in stock. After you already purchased it. What kind of company sell stock they dont have in their inventory. Beware this place is a scam. Its text only they never respond. If you buy here, your furniture is going to be late and youre going to have a headache trying to get it or even a refund back. Beware of the fine prints on canceling theyll charge you a 200 fee. Which I find sketchy because they make it to the point you get so frustrated youll want to cancel and will charge you the 200 fee. Youll have less of a head ache shopping at ikea.This company, management, and the staff is a joke. What kind of company has no number you can actually can to reach someone. They have no businesses lan number to call its all email and text. Super sketchy.
