  On/ Around February 1st, 2023 I contacted Eastside auto licensing because a payment was sent for renewal in error for my company vehicle. The representative told me that there is no way for them to hold my check, its best for me to contact my bank to get a stop payment issued. I did exactly that. Couple weeks later i started receiving calls from Eastside auto licensing and threatening voicemails saying that I better come in and pay the tabs. I explained to them the situation over and over again, and they deny their involvement. I have all supporting documentation. I have the non-executed renewal, original sticker, and proof of sale of the vehicle. I've also disputed with the collection agency.

  Eastside Auto License processed *** *********** renewal on February 10th, 2023.  Once a renewal is processed, there is no way to for Eastside Licensing to rescind or cancel the transaction.  Our staff has been trained by the state and they are aware that issuing a stop payment will not cancel the transaction.  I would be very surprised if any of our staff gave that advice. That said, if ********************** has any evidence to support his claim, I am open to reviewing it.  We are trained to say that customers may be able to receive a refund by working directly with the state.  The stop payment was noted by his bank on the 13th.  All collection efforts have been done by the state, not Eastside Licensing.  ********************** will need to work directly with the state in order to resolve this matter as it is out of our hands at this point.
