Steer clear of Lexar; they make a house built by **** Shlock Shop look top of the line. They promised our house would be done by May of this year ... 1 day until it is August, and they wont promise when it will be done. We had to schedule the movers 3 weeks out. The day after the truck left, we were told by Lexar that the house was far from being ready. If you point something out like punctures in the master bathtub because someone, put a ladder in it. We told them we wanted t replaced, they smiled and said they will get it patched. We cry every time we go look at the nightmare that is our quality dream home. The soffits are easily an inch lower on one end than the other over a 12 foot span making it look like a topsy turvy house at the amusement park. Lexars contractor never installed the transition trim from the bedrooms to the hard flooring or from one type of hard flooring to the next. The wrong windows were installed in the front of the house. Not all the lights work. The oven is installed but the sliding side rails for the oven racks are not. The range top has been sitting on the kitchen counter for 3 weeks. But, get this, the owner just bought a new airplane and said to us if you have issues talk to your site manager. A week back we went up to look at it and the cement board siding was peeling off the house. When I ask the project manager what the status of anything is, he says that's how Lexar does things and disappears. If you want a great home built go to Wethered Construction in NE **********. We are having other work done by ******** and they are on site every day. Everyone we talk to is delighted with the homes they have had built. ************************* is so appalled at what he sees going on with our Lexar build that he said that if/when we seek civil remedies against Lexar they will appear as expert witnesses.

Pure trash. I can go on and on about the terrible atrocity that was hiring lexar homes. Imagine you put your life savings into hiring a bunch of high-school hoodrich rats to build your home. I liked then at first. Until the electrician told me that they were warning all of the subs that we were "pain in the *** customers". Forgive me for not being a professional homebuilder. That's what I hired you pigs for. Never again. I'm proud to say I've stared 3 people away from hiring them. Here's what they damaged, three rooms have huge scuffs all over the linoleum, the bathtub had huge scuffs all over the edge of the tub from some derelects using it as a ladder, my water heater hasn't even lasted three years, my heat pump is so offensively loud,(and I sleep with earplugs in) that I cant even use it to heat in the winter time because these fools chose to 1) buy the cheapest trash that the market holds, 2) put it right by our bedroom window, (so much for planning), our kitchen sink drain was never connected to the main waste line. Spewed filthy dinner plate wash water all down onto our floor joists and crawl space flooding it. I found out when my floor started permanently creaking (I have photos of it all). I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting about. Hire Pacific Northwest Wood Works to build your house. Two of my neighbors used him. Neither were disappointed.

There is much better contractors out there. Sign a contract then right before you start change the price with no break down and when you ask they say they can't give out there numbers . To cancel they want **** + 12% of a house cost they never built and you deal with the permit and site prep and ****** in over run cost and I sure they will find a way to spend . Way over priced and the leave out alot of stuff you will have to pay for like garage floor , temp power , bathroom, garbage disposal. My project was 300+ sqft after they changed the price. 200 to 250 is the average amount. Do your shopping around before you sign anything with them .
