Looks like we had the same experience as others. We purchased a front door and window combination. It started to crack and come apart within months. They claimed it was due to extreme heat without even attempting to determine what is actually occurring. Not a care in the world.Review from Christopher M

Really disappointing. We bought two sets of Simpson exterior French doors ********* edition with water block, specifically designed for the harsh weather conditions of coastal *********** per the Simpson website. The purchase was made last Fall for a coastal house renovation project in *****. Our contractor started noticing problems with water leaking into the house immediately after installation. The local supplier suggested installing a metal scoop above the door units to prevent water leakage. This has helped some, but we are still getting water in the house from under the doors and now the bottom of the door (water block option included) is now swelling. The local rep does not want to take responsibility. Bottom line: our contractor called this morning to tell us we have a river coming under our doors this morning. We are very disappointed because we specifically went with Simpson ********* in order to avoid water problems rather than going with an inexpensive door. I should also mention that the sealant around the windows in the doors looks very sloppy and the **** nails used on the mouldings are already rusting. No stainless steel! Ordered custom doors from Simpson door company. Actually, the door installer company I used ordered them after we picked the style. Doors arrived with excess putty glue where glass meets the wood. Looks like a horrible caulking job that wasnt finished. Made complaint through their website. A Rep from ********** contacted me. . He told me the removal of excess glue putty is the finishers responsibility, and was so kind as to send me a 20 second video on how to remove. These doors cost nearly ****** between the cost of the doors and installation. After a lukewarm reception from this rep, Ive demanded they make it right by sending someone to remove this unsightly putty on these custom doors. What I received, is an email saying let me know if you have any other questions. Now thats great customer service (can you hear the sarcasm, because Im laying it on pretty thick). Im planning to contact 7 on your side to see if they will do a story. Well done Simpson Doors, your customer service is second to something.
