******* came on Aug 15 and I gave him $2000 deposit and then $1000 deposit the same day through zelle, I said whatever balance is left for the material I'll pay via my card directly . I'll go to the place and pay for the balance. He was supposed to start aug 24 He reached back again in a few days(Aug 18) and showed me a quote and asked me to pay $2000 for the material and he told me he won't bother me for money until the work is finished. He sent a pic of the invoice which later I realised was just a quote. I resisted and told him about me paying for the material and he said he already paid. I asked if he will start Aug 24 and he said I need to pay him $2000 more for the material only then he will start. I sent $2000 thru venmo on Aug 20 His guys came Aug 24(not him) and started to break our concrete . They broke a little bit and left in 2-3 hours. They said the contractor needs to pay them before they work Then He came on 25th in the afternoon and said he personally will start work Monday Aug 28. He dropped off 2 guys and they started breaking the rest of the concrete and took some bushes out. On Aug 29 while his guys were breaking up the concrete he loaded his truck for dumping the concrete. He asked me to pay another $2000 for the dump. I told him i cannot pay him anymore as he had told me he wont take any money until this is finished, He texted me stating he will stop the work and remove his guys if i dont pay him. I was outside and asked him to have a face to face conversation, he said the money I paid earlier was for material and he needs to pay for dump and the laborers. My husband asked me to pay him another $1000 as it seemed ok.I paid him $1000 over zelle. So far by Aug 29 I had paid him $6000 total. He agreed to give 3000 back since sept 2023 and he hasnt returned it. He had said a few times next week next week but no response and no money back .
