    I called Sunset Electric for an estimate to trouble shoot and repair a lighting system in my kitchen. Appointment occurred on 5/25/2023. two technicians showed up and told me that it could be a bad switch or a bad transformer. They had no parts in the truck and did not provide any estimate to repair. They were in and out in less than 30 minutes. aprox 45 days later, I receive a call demanding payment and threatening me with collection procedure. This was the first only notice i received. For the record - this company din not provide any service, did not fix anything, did not provide any estimate simply discussed some possible causes of the problem and expect payment of $283.92 - then threaten me with collections on my first notice of being billed.

    **************** was informed by our scheduler before we came to perform the service call that his lighting issue was most likely due to a bad transformer not the circuit. **************** stated that he had already spent several hundreds of dollars in ******* to get the lights in question rebuilt. Per Mr. ******* request we sent out a technician to troubleshoot his lighting. The circuits were not found to be the issue and he was informed he had a bad transformer. I have attached a copy of the original invoice emailed on 05/26/2023 at 11:45AM.  We do have a policy of payment within 30 days otherwise a late fee of 1.5% will be assessed which we did not charge *****************

    I am rejecting this response because:  I was expecting an estimate to fix the problem- or the option to have it fixed on the spot.  The technicians left and advised me that it could be a bad transformer or a bad switch - They did not have any of these parts with them.  I was in the same place as before they arrived.  I did not receive the Free estimate as advertised on their website, nothing was fixed, no service was provided.  I never received any invoice until I get the phone call demanding payment or be sent to collections,    This is no way to do business I expect a full refund!!

    As I stated on 8/3/2023 **************** was informed by our estimator/scheduler *****, who is also a Journeyman electrician, that his lighting issue sounded like a bad transformer and was not a circuit issue. **************** still requested we send out a technician to troubleshoot the issue which would fall under our Service Call minimum rate . We do not service or carry transformers in our vans.  I have again attached a copy of the invoice that was e-mailed to **************** on 5/26/23 at 11:45AM for the work in question, I have no way of knowing if he opened the original invoice. **************** was very rude and belligerent over the phone with me. ***** called **************** back soon after he and I hung up from our phone call and re-explained to him that he, ****************, was told it was a transformer issue before Sunset Electric came to the job site and that he still requested we send someone out. We do provide Free Estimates but this is not what **************** requested, he was given a free assessment via the phone by ***** before sent out our technicians.  I appreciate your mediation of this issue.
