I need my baseboards replaced in the children's bathroom. Next Level Contracting LLC was paid to replace them by our insurance company following water damage incident, and they did not. I want the money back paid for by the insurance company so that we can hire a different company to replace them. Next Level Contracting has unethical business practices and bookkeeping methods, and they are not welcome in my home. To reiterate they have already been paid by ******************** but REFUSE to replace them .

This was a cat 3 loss that occurred in the main bathroom. We inspected this loss on 4/25/2023, and the bathroom demo was completed, and the flooring, base, and vanity were all removed. Please see the attached photo labeled Screenshot showing that everything was removed.  We did recently get the attached photo from the husband stating that the base was not replaced. After explaining that we did, in fact, complete all the work we billed for, he was adamant that this was not correct. Clearly, the base has been replaced in the bathroom, as it is not present in the photo taken post-demo demo, and it is present in the photo the owner emailed us. The water staining on the base is from bath/shower habits of the occupants of the home, i.e., splashing in the tub or hanging wet towels above the base. We explained to him that his wife and I walked the project, and she agreed that if we fixed the door jamb that led from the master bedroom to the master bathroom, we would be complete with our outlined scope of work. I did go back into the repair estimate, and the value of the base replacement for this area is $150.04 for the whole bathroom.

Regarding our accounting practices, we bill on a percentage of completion basis per the agreed upon estimate. Our books are reviewed annually by a CPA and we are 100% GAAP compliant. As far as 'harassing' goes, trying to collect a balance due is not harassment. From our understanding, everything was perfectly fine when the customer walked the project - it was only when it came time to pay that there was an issue.

I am rejecting this response because the project was billed for replacement of ALL baseboard in the childrens bathroom, per the estimate. Only the baseboard under the vanity was replaced. We would like the money back that your business was paid for by our insurance in order to have it replaced. Keeping those funds would be fraud as I have the paper contract showing replacement of ALL baseboards in that bathroom. Please see attached pictures for photo evidence. As you acknowledged in your response this was a major water incident. This bathroom was where all of the water leaks and flood started. The baseboards were soaked in the water that was sitting on the floor, and thus our insurance agreed they needed to be replaced.

Again to be sure we are on the same page this is NOT the master bathroom where that tile incident occurred. This is the separate children's bathroom where the water incident originated and the most damage occurred. All of the flooring was replaced in that bathroom and NEW baseboards were supposed to be put in. However the water soaked damaged baseboards were put back. You can visually see in the photographs that they are damaged by water. This is not from the tub as you suggested but from the water incident.

    Sincerely,

We agree that it is possible that 7'11" of base behind the toilet was not replaced in the children's bathroom. Since we do not have completed photos, we aren't able to confirm or deny the 7'11" in question. We are happy to refund the amount paid by insurance for that base. Below is the summary from the insurance paperwork showing the amount paid for base

    Line #*** - FNC - B3 - Baseboard - 3 1/4" - 8 LF - Total $50.83

    Line #*** - PNT - MASKLFT - Mask and prep for paint - tape only - 8 LF - Total $8.40

    Line #*** - PNT - B2 - Paint baseboard - two coats - 8 LF - Total $19.96

A check for $79.19 will be issued and mailed to ************** on Monday, April 15th.
