Erin Haltom with TC Home Services is a FRAUD and SCAMMER. Her license and bond have been suspended (due to several customer complaints & is currently under investigation with L&I). However, she lists her license and insures you it's active on her contracts. BE AWARE. She takes advantage of the elderly and the disabled. That's what she did to my father who is both of those things. She used fear mogul scare tactics to have him write her checks. She threatened that if he didn't write her a check that day for thousands of dollars, she wouldn't come back and finish the work. She would also explain, that if he didn't pay her that day (even though no work had been done) she would be living on the streets and couldn't feed her kids. Out of fear, my dad would pay her. We paid **** over $15,000 for work she never completed. The work that was completed resulting in severe damage to the home costing us over $45,000 to repair and 4+ months of a construction crew working to repair the extensive amount of damages. Literally every single thing she touched and to be redone- kitchen cabinets, kitchen backsplash, kitchen countertops, sheetrock work, electrical work, subfloor work throughout entire home, flooring throughout home. The list goes on and on and on. She is also the contractor that never leaves. Her contract was for 30 days on Aug 9th 2022, it was Dec 5th 2022 and she still hadn't completed the work she was paid for. She would come up with every excuse under the sun why she couldn't come to work that day I.E, her nose hurt, her face hurt, she went on a drinking ******, her back hurt, she was having an emotional breakdown, having an emotional crisis, she's broke, She would disappear for weeks on end and explain she was on a drinking ******. She is presently advertising her business claiming she is broke so please be careful. Read the reviews, verify info on L&I, talk to the community, look her up on social media, ect. You do not want her in your home or around your family.

I needed a complete bathroom remodel of my homes primary bathroom. This business was late in beginning work (around 2 months after being paid for half the job) then extremely lazy and slow to work once work started. It took about a week and a half just to demo the bathroom. They worked 1 or 2 hours maybe 2-3 times a week. Two months after work began, tile work still hadnt begun on the shower. The work also looked very mediocre. Something didnt feel right. The contractor was going to tile my shower WITHOUT waterproofing. Then, when I requested waterproofing, I was met with disrespect, rudeness and justification as to why it wasnt necessary. Did I mention the demolished bathroom sat outside my house for a week before I finally hired someone else to haul it to the dump? Contractor initially told me they were licensed and bonded which later I learned was completely untrue. I heard so many excuses as to why they couldnt come to work and once my babysitter even heard them answer a call to one of their other clients (while work was being done at my house), that they were sick and couldnt come to work on their home (they hushed their other worker while they answered the phone and spoke to that client). Contractor was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. I have since had to pay an actually licensed contractor to fix what was done and then finish the job. Also, I didnt know that the electrical work that was done, had to be permitted. Im currently dealing with the electrical disaster they left me. Also, the contractor took a trip to ****** in the middle of my already delayed project in which they requested an advance and we nicely obliged. I have been living in shambles since. We payed this person (****) over $9000 for maybe $3000 worth of work. We never even got an apology. This person appears to me to be an entitled scam artist. Ive since heard of several other people who were wronged by this contractor in the same way or worse that they did me.

Hello!  This is my response to the complaint clarification.

I would most certainly love to get at least some of my money back but the fact is, that money is long gone and she has no money to give. She does not know how to run a business and does not have a savings account or bond to rescue her in this type of situation. She performed maybe $3,000 worth of work and got paid $9,200 most of which had to get re-worked. At this point, I would like to at least make people aware of her. She is a scam artist and I've already filed a complaint against her on LnI.
