    I used to love this company, but it's fallen apart. Slow shipping, poor communication, absolutely no way to effectively contact customer service. Not to mention the most utterly obnoxious, pure spam mailing list that sends you multiple emails a week (sometimes more than once a day) and needs to be re-unsubscribed every time you make a purchase.Here's the final, dealbreaking issue, though: I ordered a tea that was discontinued and rather than giving a refund, they gave a store credit. OK, fine, I wanted more tea anyway... but the store credit doesn't work. I messaged customer service multiple weeks ago through the only avenue provided (a form on their website) and have received no reply at all.

    If I could give it negative stars I would. Ordered from them and after two weeks of no updates I reached out to customer service and they said they were selecting the teas and shipment should be soon. Never heard again. I sent another inquiry and was told they will process it by the end of the week. Still nothing sent ANOTHER inquiry after nearly half a month and told they are cancelling my order b/c they cant source the tea. Still did not receive a credit on my card for the purchase. Incompetent, terrible customer service that is rude and and absolute worst company I have ever dealt with.

    What happened to this company? I have ordered tea online and used to purchase in store many times. Recently I ordered more tea and at checkout it said it would ship *** ground. Well, tracking says delivered to mailbox, yet no package was ever delivered. Also, *** does not deliver to mailbox, so I investigated. Looks like *** handed off the package to ***** After I contacted Steepologie about my package that did not show up, they told me since it says delivered I need to contact ***. I told them I purchased their shipping protection and they said that doesn't cover you if it says delivered. DO NOT PURCHASE SHIPPING PROTECTION. So basically they are telling a loyal customer they don't believe me and I need to handle it myself. Well, I went to file a claim with ***, they said no, you need to file it with ***** Then I went to file a claim with **** and their website said cannot file a claim because shipping insurance was not purchased. So Steepologie must know this and they refuse to help me get my order and I WILL NOT be ordering ever again from them. I have disputed the charge on my credit card. Perhaps this company is going out of business soon since they wish to hold onto every dime they can and lose customers while they do it.

    How do I leave 1/2 star? Horrible customer service! In-store rude and condescending. Over-the-phone extremely rude. Over-priced tea. BEWARE - gift cards are NOT gift cards. They are coupons where you must spend money to redeem. Devil is in the details. Unfortunately, we had to open the box to see the details. Once box opened it can no longer be returned. Tricky!! live and learn!

    Horrible customer service and overall experience! Do not buy from this company. I completed a very expensive online purchase and never received a confirmation. After three weeks, I reached out to the vendor and was told my order could not be located. My credit card was charged and it took days of back and forth emails for the vendor to locate the order. I requested to cancel at this time and the vendor refuses to cancel, even though the order has not shipped and will not ship this month. There is no direct customer service number which complicates inquiries and it takes several days to hear back via the email customer service representative. It is unacceptable that a vendor forces you to keep an order that has not been processed and that has not shipped.After submitting the review, I shared with the Steepologie customer service agent. The response I received is so incredibly rude that I am no longer going to even continue communicating with this company. The agent named **** called me a "liar" and said I have to live with this issue. It's a wasted $250 but bigger ****** learned in not giving business to this company.The vendor is telling me that they can treat me as poorly as they want because they will just request the review be removed. You can't make this stuff up. Save yourself the trouble and don't order from this company.

    I ordered tea before Thanksgiving, Nov 23rd, 2021 and it didn't arrive until February 17th, 2022 (3 months). I contacted ********************* who runs Steepologie in ******* area. I emailed him after waiting over a month, and he replied, but after two months he didn't reply, and no apologies for delays. He just seems to not care and expects pandemic & shipping worldwide to be the culprit it seems. But keeping in contact with those who have aging orders seems a common decency. Then the order arrives from *****? So much for buying local. I'll stick with Amazon, Mariage-******* ******** **** Foods-- places like that. Lousy customer service. When they have to close their ************** stores... maybe that's important to think about, added to poor communication. And now I see numerous other ratings on their own site indicating shipping and communication issues. Shame. My final recourse would have been to do a chargeback via my credit card. I think I'll stick with coffee for gifts next time.
