This company is a complete scam. They charged me $70 for an annual fee and refuse to refund my money. Every employee I interacted with was rude, unprofessional, and completely unhelpful. They dont listen or care about your concerns and constantly speak over you when you try to explain the issue. Its clear they have no interest in their customers or resolving problems. I strongly advise against doing business with this company, and they should be reported for their unethical practices.Review from Charlize B

*****************. They immediately charged my account the day my free trial ended. I emailed them immediately and asked for them to cancel my subscription and to give me a refund since I could not find how to cancel my free trial before the end. At 3am, IStock emails me back saying they did cancel my subscription, but will not give me a refund. This is a scummy company with confusing terms, and an anti-consumer friendly website interface. It is ridiculous that they can not give me a refund after I emailed them right away on the day my free trial ended, and decided the best time to email me back was at 3am.Review from Catherine b

Like everyone else, I signed up for a free trial. Istock getty images. I downloaded 10 images on the first day and then canceled my subscription, but I started getting billed at $74 a month and there is no way of verbally talking to anyone. You just get emails repeatedly back saying that you cannot cancel your subscription before the year ends, which I never even signed up for. You cant cancel on their site, which is ridiculous. Subscriptions can always be canceled and it even says in the fine print that you might get a administrative fee, but they still do not do it and I will probably take legal action on this.Review from Jadeann A

I am not using the service any longer and wanted to cancel. They keep sending me the same email about getting a different subscription even though no longer want to use the service. This company is straight up trying to entrap their customers to be unable to cancel the service. It is total dishonest and scummy.Review from Doreen R

How can the BBB give Istock an "A" when they have a customer rating of 1/5 and 200+ complaints? The BBB is not a reliable source if they do not consider such a large amount of negative feedback when rating a business. Just look on Trustpilot, Reddit, and the customer reviews on this site to understand that this is an ongoing issue for 1000s of people. The only way Istock is still making a profit is by stealing and being dishonest.Review from Nikkita B

Atrocious. I wish I had read these reviews before using their free trial service. Problem 1) As my free trial was ending, I couldn't cancel on the website. I had to email, meaning I had limited control over my own account. 2) Their terms of service are deceptive. I've already paid for a month ($70 for one month for PHOTOS.) but, apparently, my situation falls under the "free trial" part of section B of the License Agreement. 3) They canceled my subscription, they say, but I don't see any evidence of it other than I can't download any more images nor do I have access to any I've used on that site that aren't already on my computer, yet I did NOT get a refund for this month's $70. I'm concerned another $70 will come out next month because my month's statement says auto renewal is on.Don't mess with this company. They are dishonest and awful.Review from Gary B

Their subscription model operates the same was as *****, the model that has landed ***** in hot water with lawsuits. Do not support this company, if you attempt to cancel you will be charged cancellation fees which aren't obvious up front. I was not simply because I never used the account, so I was given at least that leeway. My fault was not noticing these charges sooner and letting it snowball into quite a sum of money.Review from Eric A

Do not sign up for a subscription to Getty Images. Their licensing agreement and user experience are deceptive, leading you to believe that you can cancel at any time. The customer service department gave me standard canned, **** I must add, replies via chat to my inquiry about the subscription and my frustration. Ultimately, I paid hundreds of dollars for the image I downloaded during the trial. I will put a stop to this charge on my credit card.Review from Ryan C

This company intentionally deceives customers into believing they are signing up for a monthly service that can be cancelled at any time when in fact they are signing up for a 1-year contract. They offer a fake option to disable automatic payments through their website, however will still continue to charge credit cards even when this option is selected. A quick look at their website reveals this disable automatic payment button is a non-functioning element meant to trick users into thinking they are in fact disabling. They will also continue to charge credit cards even after informing customers that they have deleted their account and removed them from their servers.Review from Cassia S

We needed to cut expenses temporarily. After reviewing our toolset, we decided to put our Getty Images subscription on hold.We missed the renewal cancellation date by only a day or two. I asked if they would offer a refund for the two additional days of our license, and they refused to budge on the renewal date, which has us locked in for an additional year of their premium subscription. We were slated to remove this license to save on costs, but now we're saddled with a subpar image service for an additional year at $140/month.I don't see any reason why this policy should be so strict. I understand if we had continued to use the license after the renewal that they would deny the refund, but we weren't using it at all, and we barely missed the renewal date. It is a policy that provides no leniency for users and shows no compassion at all for their clients. We are extremely disappointed in this company.After years of using their service, we will most certainly not renew with them and will not recommend them in the future.
