I had been suffering from plantar fasciiitis foot pain in my left foot for quite awhile and had heard that the Good Feet Store sold orthotics that might be helpful in alleviating the pain. I went to the Good Feet Store in **********, ** on 25 Oct, 2022 and was seen by one of their employees (*****). She put me through what you might expect for such evaluations - a foot plate analysis in particular. She then went in their backroom and came out with "custom" orthotics that she said should work fine for my foot architecture. I agreed to proceed with purchasing their 3-step orthotic set-up. I was charged an outrageous amount of money for these obviously simple plastic - supposedly custom - shoe inserts - at total of $1,645.64! I realized at the time that this seemed inordinately expensive, but I was in quite a lot of pain and I proceeded to make the purchase. At first the inserts seemed to be helping my pain scenario, but within 7-days it was becoming clear that they really weren't helping at all - in fact they seemed to be making the situation more painful even though I was absolutely religious about using the inserts at all times and in the exact manner as related to me. I decided to go ahead and make an appointment with a well-known board-certified ******* podiatrist named **************************************************, FACFAS. I had that appointment yesterday November 29th in his ***************** at Ste. 301 **** **********. *******. He did indeed diagnose me with plantar fasciitis in my left foot, as suspected. I told him that I had been to the Good Feet Store in **********, ** prior to the visit with him - he told me outright that that was a mistake and that I was overcharged in a big way. I asked him directly if he thought The Good Feet Store was actually a scam and he said "absolutely, it is a scam". I will be filing a complaint with the ** Attorney General and taking the Good Feet Store to Kitsap County small claims court - they are a fraudulent company.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me even though this corporation is very clearly a fraudulent enterprise.

    Sincerely,

11/11/22 I went in expecting a scan of feet and customized insoles. Instead I got my foot measured and plastic inserts. I wore them home and could barely walk by the time I got home. I feel like I was scammed in an elaborate bait and switch. And I felt pressure to purchase.I didn't get sufficient time wearing the insoles if I had, I would have realized that their program caused worse pain and did not improve the situation.
