We purchased over $41,000 dollars of high end appliances from Freds Appliance in ********* **********. Its been five years and now they tell me they wont service ANY of my appliances - they are only serving in warranty appliances. Currently we are having a problem with a microwave and we have called service men in the area who say they cant get parts for sharp microwaves. We called Sharp. They said Freds in ******* (a two and half hour) drive can service it. I called Freds back and they said no we couldnt bring the microwave in to be sent to *******. FINALLY after talking to two managers they can schedule an appointment two plus months out. Thank goodness its not my refrigerator or freezerReview from Phillip G

Please dear God stay away from ******* I wish I could give zero or negative stars. My initial interaction was great, and my wife and I bought a washer and dryer. 2-3 years later, the washer dies and we call in for warranty work since we bought the 500 dollar warranty. It took a month or so of no washer before a tech came out and install the board that failed. We were told the reason it is taking so long is they do not have enough service techs available to get us in faster and they constantly overbook their techs. When the tech installed the part, everything seemed fine but after some use it was found that the tech programmed the board incorrectly and he would have to order a new one. The washer works, ish.... About 2 months later (currently), they have the part and want us to wait another 17 days to get the board replaced again. This is again overbooking the techs if not we have to wait over a month. I have now griped enough that I'm waiting for contact from a manager. I wish I could help these employees more and make a difference but with how I am seeing them treat their employees I doubt any change will actually happen.Review from Leanna M

Before purchasing any appliance from Freds, please do your research and purchase elsewhere if possible. It's been 2 years of struggle and fight with the company. My husband and I purchased our household appliances from them with all the but fridge needing constant repair. They don't properly diagnose problems leaving us without operating appliances. They take weeks to diagnose and weeks to repair. They speak and treat my husband and myself like we are the problem and do not take a let's handle this attitude at all. I was warned not to purchase from them and wish I would have listened. Worst decision we've made for our household.Review from Topper B

Purchased fridge year and 1/2 ago, also 5 yr extended warranty. Water and ice on door started leaking water at 13 months. Called for repair, after 7 repair visits, fridge still leaking water. 8th repair, different repairman, he put in a new motherboard and burned up the fridge because wrong motherboard for that ******. Called factory, they told him completely not repairable now even if correct motherboard put in. Was directed to sales manager for relief. I demanded my money back for fridge, water line I had to purchase for fridge, sales tax, 5 yr warranty cost and factory parts, i.e., water filter and air filter that are now no use. Total of amount requested be returned to me was and is $3,367.52. Sales manager said he would refund 5 year extended warranty cost only of $499.99. I declined his offer of a new fridge and continued to request my money be returned because it is now over 9 months in trying to fix water leakage, my numerous calls to talk to manager over that time and they are always in meetings. Left my name/number for return call back. Never a call back. Not even an apology for frying my fridge for putting in wrong motherboard. Sorry for the inconvenience was the standard remark. I will file small claim in small claims court. I refuse to do business further with them on fridge replacement because of their incompetence, constant lying about managers in meetings all the time, their failure to return my 5 calls to them for help. and now their only returning my 5 yr extended warranty amount. I am now living out of ice chests until I get my new fridge from **********. Do not deal with ****'s Appliance, you will be extremely disappointed and frustrated if you ever have a problem with their appliance. I might add, went to ****'s Appliance to demand my money back, the salesman I was directed to deal with became combative, closed fists in ordering me out of their store. Be careful with them, they are untrustworthy and dishonest in their dealingsReview from Adam J

Buyers beware! Freds Appliance sells cheaper products for a reasontheyre often lemons. We purchased two GE stackable washer and dryer units based on their sales associates recommendation. One unit never worked, and the other failed after just one month. They sold us a 5-year warranty, which is misleading. The first year, Freds does nothing, so its essentially a 4-year warranty that starts in the second year. If something goes wrong, you have to deal with the manufacturerin this case, **. ** requires three service visits before considering a replacement. Why woul anyone want to keep a brand-new unit that needs constant repairs? We requested a swap or a refund, but Freds claimed their warranty doesnt cover that. Despite hours of phone calls, their customer service agreed the policy is flawed but said its out of their hands. ** also claimed the warranty doesnt exist for our units, pushing the responsibility back to ************************* summary, neither Freds nor ** took responsibility, leaving our familyincluding two toddlers and a 90-year-old grandmotherwithout a working washer and dryer for over three weeks. Weve had to spend our time at laundromats. Avoid Freds and stick with ********** or Lowes for your appliances.Review from Doug O

I do not recommend purchasing appliances at ****'s Appliance. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE, They do carry the appliances they want to sell in stock.ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE, If you want specific appliances, they will have to order them like anyplace else. Their prices will not be competitive, so you will need to get prices from other dealers and make them match the price. MOST IMPORTANT, ****'s Appliance does not service appliances. once you buy an appliance any problems are between you and the manufacturer. If any of the Appliances you buy at ****'s Appliance are defective, it's your problem and you will get no help from them. We bought a over the range microwave with other appliances from ****'s Appliance. After six months the Microwave failed. It's been two months now working with the manufacturer. We still do not have the microwave repaired, replaced or refunded.****'S APPLIANCE ONLY SALE APPLIANCES. AFTER THAT THERE IS NO HELP, FRIENDLINESS OR SERVICE.Review from Pam L

I would give them ZERO or NEGATIVE Stars!****'s Appliances is the worst for customer service. Against my better judgement, after having a 2 month problem with a refrigerator delivery (that was supposedly in stock), I needed a range/oven and hood fan. The hood fan didn't work the minute it was installed, it should have been boxed up and a new one brought out to be installed. Instead, now I wait another day for the repairman to diagnose the problem and then another day in the future (I don't know how long for the part to arrive) for the repair. ****'s salespeople do not care or stand by the brand new appliances they sell. Don't waste your time shopping there if you expect any customer service, you will get better at the big box stores.Review from Jeff M

Purchased a very high end refrigerator from Freds and paid extra for delivery/set up and haul away of my old refrigerator. Delivery was on time, however the set up was totally messed up and unprofessional. The water line to the ice maker was not properly tightened and the installer failed to check for any leaks. Well, it did leak and it was not discovered until the water had leaked through the floor and caused major damage to the basement ceiling. They sent employees out to photograph the damage, but thats as far as they have gone. They have made to offer to repair the damage and their employee by the name of Montana told me that the state is a No Fault State, therefore they are not responsible for repairing damage caused by their employees. This is a totally bogus answer as No Fault only applies to claims regarding automotive incidents. Unfortunately, their stance only leaves me with the option of a law suit and litigation which will end up costing them incredibly more than if they just did the right thing in the first place.Review from Bonnie M

If I could select negative stars, I would. This company is so poorly ran. It's just a bad business. The company as a whole. They lack communication and customer service. They think they can just continue to treat customers rudely. We, the customer, pretty much have no choice but to use them. Their managers are rude and unreasonable, offering no rectification for their bad business mistakes. They literally sold my appliance out from under me after I had already paid them for it. Their delivery crew refused to setup the appliance or put them where I wanted them. They had the audacity to tell me to move my appliances out of their way instead of offering to move it out of the way for me. They didn't plug in the power cord or even offer. If I didn't have the specialty tools to install the power cord I would have been burnt. I will never buy from them again and recommend no one to ever use them ever again.Review from lori w

I purchased a Kitchen Aid stove on April 11, picked it up on April 12 and installed it on April 13. We found that the oven did not work. We immediately called in and reported it. They sent a tech out, who said it was the igniter. The tech was just here (April 30) and the oven STILL does not work. I paid $1000 for a stove that is not 100% functional. I called **************** and all they did was read the disclaimer at the bottom of my receipt which basically states they don't return/replace anything (this seems like a sketchy policy to me? don't you want happy/satisfied customers?) Anyways, I would like a stove that is FULLY functional! And according to their "return policy" my only option is to go elsewhere and purchase one! Or wait around for numerous tech calls and replacement of parts, for how long? I believe a NEW appliance should be FULLY functional!
