Horrible place to work. There are 6 group homes, and if you are not the main staff at these homes, but sent to cover a shift, not all staff treat you kindly. Tons of gossip behind people's backs. Some clients were accepted knowing we didn't have the scope to help them. If injured by clients seriously enough to warrant a trip to the *** we were often made to wait until end of shift, especially over the weekend. The admin are a joke. No one helps you in the office. The main one who at least put forward effort to do so is leaving the company as well. The owner won't really get involved. My personal *** rights were violated as no one ever followed through on me having my service animal on shift, while members of admin would bring their pet and therapy dogs to shift. Often asked to work hours very close to violating OSHA. Trying to call put was difficult at times as the on call or managers would attempt to make the staff find their own replacement (calling out sick, not requesting days). Some on call staff would take hours to answer the phone, causing staff to bother program managers on their time off to get the answer they needed. Removed supervisors for ridiculous reasons. Overall, the clients suffered the after effects of this poor management and unhappy staff. Some supervisors given too much leeway and treat staff poorly, then gossip about them being a bad staff. Overall it is a toxic workplace to be in and the clients hear the disagreements and the gossip, and the higher functioning/verbal clients to tell the house managers, which makes everything uncomfortable. Unless you have 100% dedication and don't mind being treated poorly, don't work here.
