I was told on the initial sales call that I would be able to try out the Clover system. I am a small bar that doesn't need, nor ever asked for, a POS system. I made the mistake of trusting the person on the other end of the phone call that was just trying to earn a commission. Now I am stuck in a "No-cancellation" contract that I signed via electronically without realizing it. My mistake. To anyone reading this, don't make the same mistake.I received the Clover system and had issues from the start. They act like it's super easy to just "call for assistance or trouble-shooting." For a small business whose only busy times are Friday or Saturday night, I don't have time to sit on the phone to troubleshoot something during a Friday night rush. I need the product to work at all times, which my previous system FD150 worked just fine. I was also told I would only be paying $200/month, yet $359/month has been getting deducted from my account for the last 4 months. So now I am stuck paying 48 months of payments for something I was getting for free from i3 Verticals. The only upside is that the monthly fees per transaction are lower, so I can only hope over the course of 48 months I can even out. Otherwise, I made a bad decision listening to a "bait and switch" company that makes any promise they can to get the sale.Edje Solutions Response

To clarify, we do not offer trial periods. The customer was sent and signed a Merchant Processing Application and Agreement (MPA) that sets forth all terms and conditions of the agreement, including an itemized list of all credit and debit card processing fees as well as the $200 monthly payment (plus applicable state-specific taxes) for processing equipment for a term of 48 months. Additionally, the customer participated in a recorded verification call with the company’s compliance administrator in which they expressly confirmed their understanding of the primary terms and conditions of the agreement, including the equipment lease term and associated monthly lease payment. With all Clover equipment we suggest an installation appointment, and training session, with Clover to ensure all devices are functioning properly. ********** avoid doing business with this company!!! Their sales team will just make whatever promises you need to hear to get you to sign the paperwork & as soon as you find out they actually can't do what they promised they just let you know that you're locked into a contract & there's nothing to be done. Like any other small business, the economy has hit us hard. So sat through their sales pitch of how much money we could save. I made it very clearly that they have to be able to integrate with the current software we use for basically everything. They continually promised that they could do that, I specifically responded to one email asking them to contact the software people to verify for sure that they could do the integration because we've had multiple card companies think they could just to find out that they weren't able to. In, literally, less than a minute of sending the email, they were calling me to promise again that they could and to explain how they would go about doing it. I decided to go ahead with it &, sure enough after signing, they set up a conference call with our POS system to do the integration and I get told that it's not possible for them to integrate. So their answer to the issue was to either use multiple programs to do what I needed or completely change to a different ************ The account manager was initially working with me to figure out a solution and after admitting that they weren't going to fulfill our needs was working on breaking the contract. The last thing I heard was that she thinks she had it figured out and would have more info at the end of the week. That was at the beginning of the year and I haven't heard a thing since, and have received no responses to any emails. So now I'm stuck with an account that I can't/don't use that has already cost me thousands of dollars and providing no service whatsoever. Rather than saving me money like I was hoping, they've just ended up putting more of a financial strain on us!Edje Solutions Response

Was hesitant switching companies but they were very persistent and most of the staff was very patient and generous. We have an existing contract with a current provider and this pushy salesman did nothing but bad talk the competition. That's not a reason to end a call but this so-called supervisor was pushy arrogant and rude. At one point he actually said you're just being stupid right now he said that to his customer! They lost our $5 million of business today and I blocked them as spam and hope to never hear from them again. They refuse to give me any quote in writing and said they could only move forward after I signed paperwork to finalize the contract. Does that make any sense to anyone? I've never met such an unprofessional business trying to gain. They have a lot to learn. I don't know how old this company is but my venture is it's probably fly by the seat of your pants trying to figure it out and probably not more than a few years old. I would avoid them. I actually gave them a chance despite some of the reviews I've seen on line, but buyer be ware. High pressure sales tactics like, "it's your business but if I were you I'd want to save money. Don't you want to save money?" Or, "you'd have to be an idiot not to want lower rates, right?"Wow.Edje Solutions Response

This company offers great services and equipment. They do not tell the truth on everything when you sign up, so it becomes a bit of a shocker when the fees start. But, I really like the equipment, so I will continue to work with them.Edje Solutions Response
