AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Scott ****** is a con artist. He has damaged enough people to possibly warrant a class action lawsuit. As everyone else on this website has already stated, he takes your documents and then sits on them for months at a time ignoring all methods of contact. I sent him everything in February and he never completed them (today is November 11th). After contacting him weekly for nearly the entire year, I ended up taking my taxes to a different individual who did them much more throughly and in only 2 days. It took me 2 months of weekly contact to even receive proof my extension was filed. He always claims there is a family emergency, crashed software, or something else when he is likely just out hunting. He refuses to pay for the cost of the other tax preparer despite leading me on for months. Everyone else who has been impacted by this man, please file form ***** **** *** *** and file complaints with ***** ****** *** ****.

I apologize for the for not being able to file your taxes on a timely basis. As for the cost of filing with someone else, I refund amounts paid to me if you decide to file with someone else. However, I do not pay for the fees charged by the other party, that is totally up to you. As for my personal life, that is of your business. As for hunting, I have not been able to go hunting for over a year.Review from Ashley G

Horrible place to go. Dropped our simple taxes off in February, picked them up and PAID for them March 6th. We owed in, I sent the IRS a check immediately. After a month or so I thought it was odd we did not get our state return in our bank account. Made several calls to Scott, he is rude, does not get back to us. Tells us to be patient, he had a software issue. One would think he would contact every person by phone or mail letting us know what was going on. No he did not. Our taxes were finally filed in August, and we now have $500 in late fees we owe the IRS. Scott was made aware and he is doing nothing about it. He wont return calls and his office is always closed. I called the IRS today they recommended paying the fees and filling out a form to possibly get reimbursed- no guarantees. He had no problem cashing the check I wrote him for his services, however he did not provide them. I will be filing complaints with DSPS for his license and filing in small claims court.Review from Kevin C

Same issues as what all the below reviews state. No communication on why the taxes haven't been filed. His assistant said that they have now been mailed, but that was over two weeks ago and still no recognition on either the state or Federal refund websites. He may or may not call back. We took our taxes to munch accounting in berlin wi waited almost 2 months he kept giving excuses and was not very polite about me asking but I know it's not normal to take 2 months and charged us 90 dollars to do them after 2 months and deadline approaching I contacted a different place they said ask for proof he submitted it so I did he couldn't provide anything so I went back had other place look they said he never filed it so I hired them they did it showed me proof and in week we had our return. I left him voice-mail asking for fees back and let him know he ******* us like he did many others by looks of reviews lately I think he should be held accountable for taking money and not providing a service that was paid for we get held accountable on taxes he should be on doin his job but best advice for anyone is if you can go anywhere but munsch accounting do it and read reviews on him I'm not only one he's wronged.Review from Dawn B

I'm a decades-long customer and have had no issues until this year. I picked up my taxes which were "done" according to Scott on February 20, 2024. I assume done means that they have been submitted electronically. I also picked up two of my son's returns that day and I paid $190 for all. My check was cashed on February 27, but as of April 25, none of our returns have been submitted to the Internal Revenue Service. I called a few weeks ago and was told that there was a software glitch and that he needed to resubmit 100 returns, but Scott assured me that they would be submitted and I would receive my refund shortly. None of our 3 returns has been recognized on "Where's my refund?" as being submitted. I am reading many reviews similar to mine. It is my understanding that my refund will be reduced the longer past the tax deadline it takes to be submitted. If there is a problem, I would expect that I would be told and my check wouldn't be cashed until I received the service I paid for. It seems that he told another customer that he has 2500 returns to resubmit and doesn't have time to call everyone. In which case, he is taking on more customers than he is able to service properly.Review from Darlene G

I had my taxes for 2023 done by Munsch and have waited close to 2 months for my refund which were e-filed. I called his office to find him very rude and unprofessional. He said he re submitted everyone’s but never explained why and hung up on me. I waited 2 weeks from that call so I called his office again which is now April 15th 2024. No answer but I was able to leave a message on his answering machine. I’ve also gone to his office the same day and the blinds were closed and locked up. I decided to go to *** ***** and refiled. I called his office again April 18th to ask for my money back because I refiled and his secretary was there, took my name and number and said Mr. ****** will be in the office tomorrow, and is giving back money to the people that call and ask for it. Today is April 19th and he’s not on his office and I haven’t received a call like states from his secretary thus far. I will never go back to thia man because he is not professional or kind to his customers at all. I have also called the police and was told to hang onto my receipt from *** ***** and I do have proof of paying Munsch because I paid him with a check.
