May 1 2023- purchased 2012 ***** Malibu LTZ for $7450 from Johns auto sales with ***** miles. I was told every thing was good and checked out but I did not see the ** buyers guide on the window or receive it with my paperwork June 1 2023- car overheated at ***** miles and I called **** and he said let me know what it is and he will work with me. I took it to ****** auto to have them look at it and they gave me a loaner June 5 2023- ****** calls and the balance shaft chain, water pump and timing belt are the issues $2500 parts and labor. I tell ****** I have to talk to **** first. I call him and he becomes upset at the amount and hangs up on me. I tried calling back and text without reply. I file a complaint with the dmv and wait for their response. However need a car so tell ****** to repair the Malibu and keep the loaner car June 15 2023- the dmv finally called back and told me that I should have let **** fix the car and that he was willing to do it. I called **** again and he was talking down to me saying I shouldve listened to him in the first place and I said I dont appreciate that and he again hung up. I will be filing small claims case soon

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have NEVER received or seen a Wi buyers guide that is mandatory to have posted on the windows of all sales showing that the car had been inspected by a mechanic. **** did not provide one but says he says it. At this point, I can not trust that it is authentic.

Also, it was exactly 1 month and 600 miles when the LARGE issues showed up. I have phone records of the times I called/ messaged **** and when he returned my calls, records from the dates the mechanics received my car and a recording of our last interaction in which he states, "if you were a man, I would have told you to come down here."

Every interaction **** called me little lady, keeps saying that he wants to help, but doesn't explain WHAT and HOW. **** also says that the $2500 repairs was my fault for getting him upset and hanging up on me. I have mentioned all the little things wrong with the car (broken drivers seat, leaking tire valves, burnt out break light) **** acted like he had not known, but if a through check would have been done, even these small things would have been noticed.

    Regards,
