My boyfriend and I used to live at the Woodnote residences. Recently another company bought out the existing one and it has been nothing but headaches since. We recently purchased a house and called to ask about option to get out of our lease. No one hardly ever answers the phone, after speaking to the manager *** she constantly states there is not enough help to cover the office. We finally got ahold of someone who told us the option are pay 775$ as a "re-let" fee, or pay three months of rent. We were not in a financial situation to pay 3 months so we opted for the re-let fee. We were told to move out ASAP and turn in the keys so they could clean the place. It seems odd I am paying for an apartment and NOT allowed to have access to it? I was also told I have to pay the heating bill until someone new moves in. I wanted it gone ASAP so I cross posted on ********** and FB to get the word out. I have had LOTS of responses and I promptly have been giving them the website and phone number. Come to find out their website isn't even WORKING. I took pictures its jus a blank screen asking for password?! And No one ever picks up the phone according to multiple interested parties online. It's very frustrating to me that i am PAYING for an apartment I don't have the keys to, and yet nothing is being done on their part to advertise and or help me get it re-let! I also recently received my heating bill which is THE SAME almost as when we lived there. I did take a picture of the heat down at 60 degrees but have a feeling the cleaning crew bumped it up and forgot to turn it back off and I'm now paying for that. I do not know what to do about this situation but something smells WRONG about it. A co-worker mention I reach out and see what my options are. Thank you.
