I purchased a dress on 3/9/23 and was told it would take no more than 6 weeks for the corset to be ordered and put in and I'd receivea call when it was ready for pickup. 9 weeks past and no calls or updates from this "business". I called 3 times, left voice mails and sent texts for updates. After the owner apologized for the delay I was told the corset still wasn't in but would be ready by Wednesday. Then got a text on Wednesday that it still wasnt ready and to come back on Friday. I came in and needed the straps altered, the hem shortened and a bustle put in. Was told by ***** that it would be ready once he was done with prom alterations on 5/19/23 and he'd call to let me know when it was ready. 5/19/23 came and went, again with no call for pickup. On 5/24/23 I texted the owner telling her that I was coming in the next day to pick up my dress. If it wasn't ready I expected a full refund and they could then keep the dress. Upon arriving 5/25/23 I was yelled at by ***** that I owed the owner an apology for threatening her with my text about expectinga full refund. After the tailor yelled at me for over 15mins at full volume he finally literally threw my dress at me with the hanger attached and told me never to come back.

The customer did have to wait longer than expected for alterations due a severe car accident causing serious injuries to me the owner.  She did call three times in the same day saying that I was unprofessional because I didnt answer call immediately in a day we werent open (after my accident) . at that time she was given the name of a seamstress who has an office in our building but is a private contractor , to finish since I was unable. At that point she was no longer working with shels bridal but  continued to message me in a threatening manner because she wanted her dress done. I made the seamstress aware of the message stating that she was coming in the next day and if the dress wasnt finished she wanted a refund. The dress was finished. She came in to my store already verbally aggressive to my store manager and when ***** the seamstress addressed that and her messages to me she got angry.  There were heated words between the the seamstress and this customer and when I heard them I went out of my office introduced myself to the customer who dismissed me. Told ***** she had already paid for the alterations and demanded the dress. ***** tried to find the receipts but she was completely intolerant and again demanded the dress which he tossed to her chest . She left threatening my store. ( the alterations were not paid so when the police came we reported the theft). Again, her altercation was Not with anyone who works for shels bridal but was witnessed by 2 of the employees. She filed a false police report saying he had thrown the dress and hit her in the eye. Which it definitely did not do. Posted terrible messages all over my social media pages and filed this with you.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[This response from Shel is filled with lies. I called 3 times on separate days and left 2 voice-mails on 2 different days along with the text message which was finally responded to. I was never given the seamstresses phone number. If I had been given his number you can be assured that I'd have reached out directly. A threat was never made. I simply stated that my dress needed to be ready otherwise I demanded a refund. That is not a threat. Furthermore, I was **** with her office manager and not rude or angry with her. **** "introducing" herself to me is a joke. **** walked out of her office and simply apologized for Angels behavior. My only words were "Sir, give me my dress." Never rude or angry until after the dress was thrown at me. Speaking of the dress, it was thrown at me and not "tossed" with the hanger still on the dress. Filing a police report was the right and civilized thing to do. I could and no doubt now will go further and press criminal charges for battery. Shel should be ashamed of herself for allowing ***** to treat her customers like this and even more shame for spewing lies.

    Regards,

I am not sure what else I can do with this.
She is complaining about my business yet the complaint is not against my company other than I was unable to do her alterations due to a medical emergency************ introduced my self to her the day she came in when I heard arguing between she and the seamstress. It was not meant as a joke, but a way to hopefully relieve the tension between the two of them.
While I am sorry that she and ***** had any issue at all, the alterations were not paid for and she has the dress she bought from my store.
My memory is still effected by the post concussion issues I have been suffering from, but I did not lie about anything. I used the information provided on my phone for phone calls (no messages left) but I did respond to her texts the best I could************ also messaged her right after the incident and apologized for what had happened between them . Though I didnt know all of the details the words between them were heard from my office 2 rooms away and was not just Angel ************ have apologized twice, once after introducing myself and again on the text message. Again I apologize for not only not being able to do the alterations myself but also because she and ***** had this confrontation.
