I have hired ace handy man services for aprox . ***** plus probaly more jobs for my home and my fathers home combined over the years since becoming a home owner myself. Today- on 10/3/2023 will be rembered as a slap in the face , a day to remember as a day of the lowest of lows insults and discrimination when it comes to the behavior from the owner , that i directley spoke with . I was there today to drop off rebate checks from menards to have the owner credit the amount of the rebate checks off the total invoice from ace handy man's invoice for the job being done at my dad's home . When i arrived at ace handy man's services in ******* on tuesday october 3rd at aprox **** pm i was greeted by the owner a hand shake yet, at the same time with an insulting comment concerning my weight . The comment adressed to me which was .." i didn't realize how huge you are !" .. if a person's weight is an issue to this company maybe ace in ******* won't have a problem missing out a the next 6 -8 projects between my home and my fathers house . How tacky and unprofesional can a company be . To me, the comment was a shot below the belt and uncalled for and it shows how little, snotty & unbecoming a family owned company of generations can be to the public and it's customers. Obviously, a conversation & being diplomatic with fat people is unheard of and something ace ,being a family company strongly frowns on so much that they make a strong point about it in public . I would hate to be a fly on the wall in that building and hearing ***** , the owner and hear his real feelings on fat people since i'm not infront of him ... a company that thinks that small of fat people , should never be in buisness ....shame on ace for hiring the most arogant, small minded indivuals to run a office

**** We just found this shocking review and Im sorry to hear this is how you feel. You took what was meant as a compliment (big man) as an insult. Our meeting on October 3rd lasted a half hour after I said that in our introduction - yet you never said, nor showed any indication, that you were offended. After that meeting we went the extra mile to help you out at our expense.Since that October 3rd meet and BBB posting youve contacted us at least a dozen times by phone and text and email (Oct 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, and 23). On the Oct 18th call with our Operations Coordinator you threatened to contact the BBB (which you had already done 2 weeks previously) because our craftsman completed the original scope of work but did not hear from you the additional work you wanted added. On that same call said you did not want that craftsman back - which you reversed in a later calls with Our Operations Coordinator and myself. (It does seem odd that since the review you have asked us do jobs for you and requested the same craftsman who has done the vast majority of our jobs for you. More than 60% of the thousands of jobs weve done come from 20% of our customers because they trust us to do the right thing and stand by our work and who we are as a company, a team, and individuals. In over six years of business weve never experienced anything like your review Again, Im sorry you were offended by me calling you a big man. It was (and never is) my intent to insult anyone. We do wish you the best moving forward.
