Customer service is absolutely terrible. Trying to find out information and I end up having to call a bunch of different places just to get one straight answer not the first time and hopefully it’s my last time because I’m seriously considering switching from Heartland Credit Union to a different Credit Union because I am not happy with the customer service. I can’t ever get a straight answer from one person. I have to talk to several people just to talk just to get one answer which is very disappointing especially if I need several things answered

I am outraged after entering this branch of Heartland Credit Union. My boyfriend whom is Hispanic in heritage, that also has been a member of this bank for upwards of 10 years, came into the High Crossing Blvd location and when he met the Caucasian teller named Anita at the counter she automatically started treating him like a criminal and making accusations as if this check had been stolen and is being wrongfully cashed. She declined helping him and when he suggested to come get me from the car she agreed. So then when I came in to help assist she immediately (after seeing I am Caucasian) was asking me questions as if I was some victim who had no knowledge this was happening. Asking me if I knew he was doing this and if I was okay with it and then compares my signatures between my ID and the endorsed check. Now mind you, my boyfriend usually goes to the branch on **** ********** and **** **** but decided due to time constraints to use the High Crossing location instead because it's closer to our home. He also has several previous transactions of this exact same nature. He also asked her to check his account to see for herself but again she refused and declined his request altogether. It was clearly and deliberately an act of racism and ignorance by Anita. Anita also questioned why he came into this branch instead of his usual one and last I checked any member of any bank has the right to enter and utilize any of the branches that are operational. Another way she was trying to brand him as some criminal. He has absolutely no history of anything fraudulent or criminal whatsoever so this type of treatment is completely outrageous and absolutely unacceptable. I will be filing complains with whoever and however many times it takes till this is properly addressed.
