I recently took my son to the *********** Marshfield Clinic in ********. The *********** and emergency room is in the same area and same check-in. We checked in at *********** desk. So he was seen and everything as far as the care was fine, however, when we received the bill he was charged for the Emergency room. My first question upon arrival at the check-in desk was, This is ***********, correct? I was told yes, this is ***********. So, upon receiving the bill I called Marshfield Clinic as I talked to the agent about my bill. She affirmed the billing was incorrect as they coded it as Emergency rather than urgent care. She said she would send it back for review, so I was confident it was being corrected. About a month after, I had not heard anything or received correspondence on the review or received a new bill. The agent said we might receive a call for a bill to be paid and was told to ignore it because it was in the review process. I called today and they said it was out of review and the original bill is correct. I was shocked and angry as it states right on the bill emergency room. It was not they emergency ******* was urgent care. For a routine visit they uncharged us for all these tests and coded it emergency. The original agent was advocating on our behalf as she saw the error and sent it back to review to be corrected and then to be told that is correct by the agent today boggles my mind. Marshfield Clinic is losing yet another customer in our area. Everyone I talk to states they will not go to Marshfield clinic anymore. We have Aspirus right across the street from Marshfield clinic and I hear the care is much better there now. Marshfield Clinic is profit over care in my opinion.

October 17, 2024 To Whom This May Concern, On behalf of our mother, Marie we are writing this letter out of concern for her health and the care her primary doctor, Dr Maria * ******* provided should be investigated. The family began to question the care Dr ******* provided due to mother’s recent trip to ER, hospitalization and the concerns the internal medicine doctor voiced regarding mothers ongoing declining health this past year. Unfortunately, our mother, Marie wasn’t feeling well and complained she needed to go to ER to see a doctor. Mother’s complaints were, not feeling right, stomach pain, being foggy, confused and very weak. We took her to the Marshfield Clinic Hospital ER Weston, WI on Saturday, September 21st. Labs were taken, doctors determined mother had a UTI and was admitted to the hospital. Dr *** was the doctor that reviewed mothers’ medical history and prescribed medications. The doctor expressed that our mother was being over medicated. Dr *** stated that Marie is receiving too high of a dose of Levothyroxine, which was being administered at night. Dr *** strongly disagreed with administering this medication at night. Dr *** asked why was our mother prescribed such a high dose of Levothyroxine and why was it administered at night? Dr *** also expressed that she felt that both the drug amount and time of consumption had caused our mother’s ongoing health issues this past year; a heart attack in March, ongoing issues with highs/lows concerning her diabetes, high blood pressure, ongoing weakness and difficulty sleeping at night. Our family simply wants accountability and to prevent anything like this from happening to someone else. Sincerely, ***** *** ******

*********************************** is at the Marshfield Medical Columbus Center ******************************************************** My first experience with ************ in 7/2022. ************ takes the time to listen. She explains everything and she engages you in conversations especially when she makes recommendations. I really like her a lot and now she is also my husband's Primary Dr. too!! At one of my husbands visits I was having a problem and she did and EKG and blood work right there in the exam room and she called me the same afternoon with results from blood test. There was one time when she knew I would be worried about how a Urine Test Results were going to be and she notified me on a Sunday with the results because she knew I would be worried. My husband likes her a lot. I would recommend *********************************** to anyone!!

Endocrine providers nurse called in continual prescription request for insulin. Was billed $254. Called office and they said provider looked at numbers so that was his way to bill. Provider never spoke to patient, the nurse called in the order. Just a sneaky way the provider can pad his pockets by way of RVU system. Cha ching. When will transparency affect provider offices.

Went to Marshfield medical center -River region ********************. Went in for urgent care on Sunday. Had a private medical problem that I had to shout loud so the person behind the desk could hear me because of the wall of plexi-glass. There is no way a person should have to shout really loud their personal medical condition like that because of no longer needed wall of plexi-glass. When I finally was seen. I told them to call in the prescription to ********* on church st. Went to ********* an hour later, no prescription called in yet. Went shopping at **** * *** to kill some time, went back, still no prescription called in yet. I ended up calling Marshfield urgent care 6 times before they actually called it in over the phone. It shouldn't take that long to call in a prescription. I don't know what their problem is but they need to take care of it. I will never go there again.

I tried to set up an appointment for oral surgery and had a referral from my dentist. When I called Marshfield Clinic's Oral Surgery Department, I was told by the woman who answered that she wasn't taking anymore patients with Badgercare this year & because I didn't have a primary care doctor with Marshfield Clinic, they would not see me anyway, due to the fact that I have Badgercare. Not only did I feel that I was discriminated against because of the type of insurance I have, but the woman I spoke with was also extremely rude & condescending. She acted as though she was too good to help people with low incomes. I was shocked and appalled by the way I was spoken to & will never attempt to go to Marshfield Clinic again for anything.

We are actively reviewing this concern with operations as well as conducting an internal process review. I am hopeful to get this resolved by end of week.

We had the opportunity to review the complaints and are unable to respond directly to the patient due to lack of identifying patient information. Our review confirmed the scheduling process as below:We currently are receiving ******** referrals statewide, when **************** left St. Marys in ******** they sent a letter to all of the ******** patients to call Marshfield. We changed the referral guidelines to except ******** patients that have a PCP in the health system so if they would have any complications after an Oral Surgery procedure, they could see their PCP first to determine if the patient only needs antibiotics or if they should travel back to Marshfield. Also, if we accept all of the referrals that are coming in, we would be booking them out 24 months. Our system messaging (due to the extended booking date is): Thank you for calling Oral Surgery, we currently are receiving a high number of ******** referrals, so at this time we are only accepting patients that have a primary care provider within the Marshfield Clinic Health system. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you.Our intent is not to discriminate or provide a poor patient experience but to assist as many of these referred patients as able. Patient can reach out to MCHS if there are additional questions or concerns regarding this experience. ************

Marshfield medical center. Is the worst medical center in beaver dam wi. Making me pay for bills I should have to pay for in 2020 and now again in 2023. They hv no specialized doctors. That will help you. Is the worse emergency room and urgent care is not the best care either. And they don't return phone calls to solve any billing issues.

I was referred from ENT Associates in ****** back to my primary provider to schedule a CT. My primary care provider and his team denied multiple attempts to arrange this. I messaged him and his team multiple times, said finally the team stated that my primary doctor was not available in the clinic, as he was rotating in the hospital. The team said they would get the message to him when they saw him. I tried messaging again to set up my CT with no response. Now 3 months later, the messages have disappeared from my app, I havent heard from anyone, and I still dont have my CT. I guess my health will continue to decline as I wait for a response that *** never come from an irresponsible and understaffed facility that misleads its customers by making them believe they can take care of them.

I went to Rice lake marshfiles medical center on may 27 with covid like syndrome, I wasn't feeling good so I went to ER, after waiting long time they took me in and spend very little time with me looking at my mouth ears and eyes shaping my mouth for test and they said done and let me out I sat at waiting room for my test result. I waited about an hour no one giving me my test result I don't know what is the result. I went to desk I asked her if my test results are ready yet? she told me I don't have to wait they will send me test result my home so I left. after 20 days I receive bill $731.60 still no test result. I called and asked them I didn't have any result they didn't diagnose what I have or give any medication. they claim they told me while was in the room. I said no they didn't tell me anything they just let me out after swap they should watch cameras to see I waited in waiting room to get my result. they said they will investigate and they came up with same excuse but it is not what happened. if I had test result why should I wait for an hour there? they should have paper result for me to prove if I work or something.I also went to do blood test in march I haven't received any blood test result for that either, ***** told me it would take 2 days to receive blood test result. after my second experience she tells me oh we have your blood test result everything looks normal she tells me this in June. 5 4 months after my blood test. I don't mind paying my bill but I don't want to pay for something I didn't receive any service they do very bad job.they claim I was positive for covid and I came home with 5 people without knowing I have covid I might infect others if they have bad health I would cause for their death I need this to be solved they should be responsible for this bad service and angering others who live with me.
