    05 2024 I was contacted by bonded collectors of Portage, ********* about a medical bill from pine valley integrated services of *******, ********* for $630.00. This was the first I heard of these charges. They sent it straight to collections. I called my insurance company (anthem) and was told that Pine Valley billed me incorrectly. ****** from the Insurance told me the service was 100% covered under my plan. The bill is for my minor daughter who has badger care. Pine Valley was supposed to take the bill from Bonded Collectors and bill to Anthem. Pine Valley told me they do not do their own billing. And that I had to call their billing service, and that Pine Valley would get back to me. So I did. Pine Valley never got back to me, even after I called them about the incident a second time inJune of 2024.***** at the front desk keeps telling me that Pine Valley isn't in control of their billing operations. But also tells me they are working on it. Yesterday, she said that she would work on it again. But, since the communication I get from them only happens when I call them, I am asking for your help. Thanks!

    In regard to complaint ID ******** filed on 07/12/2024, we would first and foremost apologize for the inconvenience caused to this customer regarding this matter. ********************** (PVIS) does use a third-party company to handle our billing. This company did submit the bill to insurance incorrectly resulting in a claim denial. It is unclear why the customer did not receive notification from the ****** before it was sent to collection. Once we had contact with the customer we began working on this claim with our ****** and with Bonded Collectors. On 07/12/2024 I personally had contact with the customer and their insurance company, then contacted Bonded Collectors. This matter has been resolved and the customer balance as of today 07/25/2024 is $0. Again, our apologies for the undue stress and inconvenience to our customer. PVIS has taken initiative to work to safeguard against errors going forward.
