On July 8, 2022, I communicated with *************************** (Manpower Group recruiter) regarding a CSR (customer ********************** representative) work from home/remote position. During the hiring process, I was provided and accepted an electronic Handshake Agreement for the position. I also submitted onboarding I-9 information (Drivers License and Social Security copies) electronically, as requested. I was informed that I would be contacted on Monday to begin ASAP. I was also provided a temporary password for my Manpower account. Yet, the link to the account never worked. I reached out on 7/8/22, 7/11/22, and several other times (via phone to ****** and other Manpower staff who answered the phone. The link issue was never resolved. I have concerns that I sent my personal information electronically for a position that I agreed to be hired for and was onboarded for AND that did not happen. I have concerns about my personal information that was collected, the hiring practices and the lags in communication (no responses, ****** sent apology email today, 7/27/22, for the delay in letting me know that the positions are currently filled). I have decided to reach out to you, BBB, regarding my concerns.Sincerely,*********************

I went to manpower for a job. They had me do the Onboarding then drug test and background check. They found me a job. I was to go in on June 28th. The lady who did my paperwork ******************* called me a few days prior to my start date said I needed to go to their website and fill out my w4 I went to it and couldn't find where to fill it out. Called her back and she said she couldn't find it. That she would figure it out and call me back. She never called back so I called her the day I started my job and asked if she figured it out. She said no but she would. I asked if I still should go to work and would get paid for it she said yes. So I went to orientation from 1-3 pm. Was supposed to get paid on July 8th. Never did. Called her and she said she sent it to payroll so I had to call them. Called payroll they said there is no proof of me working and that I'm not in their system at all. Said I had to speak to **** again. Now she is not calling me back. Come to find out **** never did my paperwork and put me in the system so I went to a job I was not even supposed to be working at because no paperwork was done. And I have not gotten paid for working the 2 hrs.

3/2 I tried to talk to a branch manager but was refused. The employee in question is *******************.I called to voice my concern because of the secrecy and lies I feel I was fed. I asked directly about the job position and where and was giving very vague and general warehouse details that could have coved any location until AFTER I agreed to take the position. Even after accepting, the details that this job works with explosives and grenades, lethal or non-lethal didn't matter, was never mentioned. When I called to explain that these details should have been informed the first time I asked I was met with hostility and fired by this recruiter when I wasn't even trying to quit the position. I was fighting panic attacks the 2 days of this employment and was only trying to voice my concern. I may not be a protected veteran because I didn't make it out of training, but I have been met with "drills" and attacked with tear gas, and watched a fellow comrade go crazy with similar explosive devices. Needless to say, having to handle these devices directly did not make me feel comfortable in the least but I pushed forward and did the job since I already "agreed" to it. I felt that this information needed to be addressed and brought forward so that other people after me were not met with the same shock. Even a fellow Manpower employee there mentioned the same vague details were given to him and he was also shocked on his first day. But she became defensive while I tried to explain my issues and told me I would no longer be employed by Manpower. If someone is considering the option between pursuing 2 different job options should I not have the right to ask questions about who the companies are and the further details before I agree to take a position? I strongly recommend some sensitivity training and maybe some clarity on information that should be shared. I understand some details need to remain confidential about the job

Went to Manpower Staffing for help in getting a job and they said they would help me even though i had a past criminal record. i had told them what was in my past criminal that it involved theft by check and credit card abuse. for the past 3 weeks they have not communicated with me . i had to call them everytime. All they said is that they would pass my information to other people. they are missleading and lye about helping people get a job. if you have a criminal record they are not willing to help you as quick as a person that does not have a criminal record.
