Where is the option for less than a star?? This is a warning that I hope prospective students read. Herzing charges twice as much as a state school, and provides very poor educational content and support. There was a class that I took that provided almost no help to questions. They advised me to seek a tutor and gave me a link. Surprisingly there were no tutors available. With continued questions not working, I turned to *******. The educational content I got there was 1000% better. Without it I would have done poorly. I passed with A's DESPITE the education, not because of it. Teachers teaching is a thing of the past here. One section even had a video of another institution's professor from out east (that's all I'll say). The info was good, but paying what I paid and you post someone else's educational content? Then there was financial aid. After this horrible experience, I decided to change schools. I wouldn't attend there is it was $1.00. They HELD my aid and despite me removing them from my ***** schools, they wouldn't release the "hold" they had on my funds. So they caused me to be ineligible for aid for the coming semester at the other institution. I called, emails, etc. I did find one helpful person, but they weren't able to assist after all. So I have thousands of dollars of aid sitting on my account at a school I am not attending. When asked why after a month and a half they still were holding aid, they responded that they CAN take up to 45 days to process. I looked into that and they CAN get it taken care of the same day with the process taking max of a week. That would have allowed me to attend the other "quality" school, but they wouldn't do it. I guess, they REALLY wanted my money; so wouldn't this be a legal form of larceny? But it's ok, because they 'can', right?

Important Advisory for LPN Program Applicants at Herzing University Winter Park, Florida If you're considering the LPN program at Herzing University Winter Park, Florida, there are crucial aspects you need to know: - Passing classes doesn’t ensure continuation if the Milestone exam is failed. - The school prioritizes finances over providing necessary tools for clinical campus training. - The Canvas myPad program lacks updates, demanding additional self-study for exams like NCLEX, HESI, and Milestone, on top of regular coursework. - The pressure is high, and student support is insufficient. These factors specifically impact the LPN program. Please consider this before enrolling.

I whole heartedly agree with the other negative reviews regarding hostile communication and selective bias when it comes to servicing future students. ***************************** the admissions counselor in my experience has poor communication and a rushed attitude when you are trying to get information on enrollment steps. I initially wrote it off as her being busy and a tech issue when I had a problem with a broken link for the admissions tests but now I realized she sabotaged my acceptance into the program from the start. After revisiting the campus again to get a new link and confirm they received my fasfa I was unable to meet with her or any other admissions staff and just left a note for a follow up with the student workers. Time went by and she failed to follow up. As the start date got closer I made another attempt to get in contact via phone and email and like usual they couldnt get her on the line and just left her a message. When she decided to call back her line was going in and out so I stopped her to let her know and asked if she should call me back and then heard her rudely state You are not fit for my program. I am the person who makes decisions on who I allow to attend and do not owe you and explanation for my decision and am hanging up now and hung up in my face. That interaction along with the other previous encounters let me know that people who look and have a demographic background like me were not welcomed and the chain of command when it comes to further assistance and reaching out for higher authority were ignored as well as I sent a email about my discrimination encounter to the campus president ************************* as well. Herzing *********** location discriminates and is a bit racist from my experience and I would not recommend minority future nurses to attend. The road to nursing is hard enough so possibly having to endure unjust authoritative figures that make the process harder is emotionally damaging but sometimes redirection is gods protection.

I researched many online universities to pursue my MSN - Family Nurse Practitioner. Herzing came into the picture late in my search. I was so glad I found it! I am in my 3rd semester and loving it! It isn't easy but very doable if you are a reasonable, hard-working student who knows how to meet deadlines and follow directions. If you are looking for a glorified community college that will hold your hand and accept multiple excuses from you then you should look for that somewhere else. Herzing does encourage you to find your own clinicals. I prefer that because I know where I want to be. It takes many, many phone calls to accomplish this, but it can be done! I love the 8 week semesters, and the instructors and student support services are very responsive and nice. Again, if you are a weaker student who limped your way through the BSN and looking for the same with the MSN, then an MSN is not for you. A nurse practitioner has alot of personal responsibility and you must demonstrate you can do that as you pursue your degree. The online textbooks that are part of your tuition also make them easy to access for papers and quizzes on any computer you happen to be at. No more lugging around heavy textbooks and cluttering up your countertops! Don't listen to the negative reviews of students who didn't pull their weight and are now seeking revenge against Herzing for not lowering their standards. You CAN do this and Herzing is excellent at helping you get there. When I see teachers who have been there 20 years that says a lot for the quality of their education. This college is easy to be accepted into which is nice they've reduced those barriers and will help you get going. However, weaker students who get in find out very quickly you have to pull your weight.

I called and left several voicemail messages have not heard back from the college I guess they dont want any more students.
