My dog has been going to a daycare for 2 ys but I thought I would try one close to home, I put her in Dogtopia on Farwell; she has been abused to the point that she has PSTD: in dogs can include: panic, panting, fearfulness, being timid & clinging to their owners, aggressive reactions in dogs that were never aggressive, depression. My dog is displaying all these things. They do photos but my dog suffers the worst diarrhea on those days, they claim they don’t feed her treats but shes eating something. She has a strict diet at home & food allergies. She only has diarrhea on days she shes is off the diet. Dogtopia focuses on your dog having a great day, with pictures, and fun events however my dog comes home chewed up and stressed out. Some days hides so she doesn’t have to go back. There are too many dogs unsupervised. There are dog fights taking place and no one is there to stop them. They dont have proper supervision ratios, & the dogs attack each other, my dog is coming home with bite marks to her face, & ears. They claim nothing happens. In 30 days we have had so many issues. They dont disclose issues that they have, They over charge or take $ on days she is not there. I caught them by watching the webcam, I found out that they were abusing my dog. They put my dog in a kennel 8 hours & covered the kennel with black plastic, they then ALLOWED other dogs to urinate on her crate!!! I was astounded. I confronted them they were unaware of the issue. I was not going to take my dog back there but she wanted to go 3 days later she kept nudging me to go so I took her back. Perhaps it was an isolated incident. I didn’t have time on Wed. before Thanksgiving to watch the webcam: they called me to tell me that my dog started a fight over a kennel however my dog is not the aggressor since she is displaying trauma from the experience, her therapist says she was attacked. My dog hates the kennel she would never try to fight over protecting it. My attorney will be calling.
