We received a $100.00 gift certificate from our children that had an expiration date of Dec. 2022. We ate at the supper club on Aug. 22, 2022. When we paid the bill, the gift certificate was not honored. We were stuck paying a bill of $48.We found out from friends the business had been sold to employees who had worked for the previous owner recently. We were told the new owners were evaluating the situation and to call after Sept. 30.We looked on ******** and there was a comment that some people had gotten 50% of the certificate value, which is still not acceptable.

On June 18th, 2022 I purchased a $ ***** gift certificate for Fathers Day from The Pine Tree Supper Club @ *********************************************** July 8th they posted on ******** they were transiting to new owners with no interruptions to any service. July 14th they posted to ******** they would not be accepting gift certificates "at this time"August 18th they posted to ******** they would accept gift certificates purchased January 2022- July 10th 2022 but only for 50 percent of the purchased price.August 18th I messaged them asking if they were making exceptions for the ones purchased Father's day weekend. (No response)August 21st I sent a follow up message again asking for an exception to this seeing my purchase was done 23 days prior to their July 10th cutoff & clearly they were selling gift certificates under the old owners when they knew the business was already sold. (No response)August 25th I called ************* & asked to talk to a manager. ****** came to the phone, she didn't identify herself so I asked if she was a ************* told me she is "one of the managers" so I asked for her name. I explained my situation as I oulined above along with the stressing the point that this was purchased 23 days prior to the July 10th cutoff. She advised they are not making any exceptions and they will be honored only for the 50 percent.
