I was very pleased how they came and did the job very nice person made sure I had the things I needed also made sure my floor and walls and everything was built up the correct way I love it definitely will be getting on your nerves again thank you so much

The pressure treated wood outdoor decking material from a large home improvement chain in Wisconsin that starts with the letter “M” epically failed with warping and splintering. The final straw came when the posts rotted and became movable. After getting bids from other contractors, we selected Affordable Building LLC. Not because of the name, but because the owner made the time to work with us to understand what we wanted and expected BEFORE any bid was received. Our deck has a basement walkout, so this required rain/snow protection as use this all year. He thoroughly explained the removal and construction process and set our expectations of completion time frames. He and his crew worked outdoors in full sun for hours doing heavy, manual labor and hauled the old decking material by hand up a hill to the only place a dumpster could be put. He respected our property and didn’t want to damage it with tractors and other heavy equipment. To my surprise, no nails in the lawn or broken splinters of the old decking material were found. They cleaned the property of them. The Owner warned us of potential material delays and contacted us almost daily to see if the supplier delivered the materials as he had other jobs that were going on and he needed to keep his crew busy. Once the materials arrived, the necessary Village construction permits were obtained, and they worked when there was daylight and the weather permitted to install the deck, the rain protection system and some very sturdy stairs. The result is a very solid and beautiful deck that will last for many years. The owner even contacted us a couple of months after completion to see how we liked it and wanted to stop by to see. He caught a couple of things that he didn’t feel was right and we didn’t even notice and pulled out his tools and fixed them to his standards on the spot. This was unexpected as it was someone who took pride in his work with quality over speed.
