I would like to express my true appreciation as a proud and satisfied client of Hagen Homes! After months of working with a builder that could not provide a truly “customized” home, I was in search for a custom home builder. I reached out to Hagen Homes on a referral from a previous client of theirs. From the initial sales contact with Josh, to the personalized house plans with the architect Amanda, and the selections process with Jackie, the team has met all of my high expectations! During every stage of the building process, I have felt included in all decisions making the “what could be stressful” home building experience pleasurable and exciting! The owner Josh ***** prepared me for every step of the building process so that I was aware of expectations and prepared for next steps and decisions I needed to make. The architect and designer Amanda Morrow paid attention to all the details I was looking for and her plan was nearly perfect from the beginning. Because of her attention to detail, we only needed small tweaks from her original design. The selections professional Jackie ****** spent hours with me in person and through email and phone calls supporting me in all of my selections. She communicated with me regularly which made the process personable. She has impressive detail to attention and communicates well. Everyone at Hagen Homes has gone above and beyond in creating my dream home! If you are looking for a truly “customized” home, I cannot recommend Hagen Homes enough! We started the project for building a new house after meeting right after 4th July 2021. Everything was going well for few weeks. Then we were introduced to the Designer/Architect (AM; from Lake Country Design Studio LLC)for home design. We got the first model after a month. And then everything went downhill. Given that Miss. AM had family issues but everything kept dragging on. We got the first design completed in Sept/Oct' 2021. After requesting for few changes, the timeline kept increasing. In short we got some design in Dec'21 which was not even close to what we wanted as final. We got the bill for the design process right away too. Given that we were promised that it will be rolled into the building cost of the house, we were informed that, it has to be paid right away. I dont think it takes past 5 months to come up with some design of a house, with preliminary costing. The design cost for 3300 sq-ft home was past $8000. Requesting to increase a home by 1 foot on each side took another month; just to see the change on a print. In short, our experience with Hagen homes was horrible. I think we saw the warning posted sooner in the project, than later. Please beware of the timeline and costing. Most of the other builders we talked to would make a plan anywhere from $1500~$3500. Also, they would stick to the promised timeline not just keep procrastinating it. If there is an issue, let the customer know, and he can find another architect or vendor rather than keep delaying the project. Repeated request to acclerate the project, with Josh, did not go anywhere. Any questions for us from Hagen homes was answered within 2 days or less. If there main business is to keep the customer hanging with unknown and increasing timeline, they do very well with it. I would think harder to start a project with them or give other builder a chance than start anything with them. Its not worth it.
