I have bought thousands of dollars of furniture from Steinhafels and have found that the quality is excellent and great customer service. This is the only furniture store we buy from!Review from Greg K

We are very disappointed in the customer service provided by Sreinhafels Furniture. We purchased a fairly expensive sofa set and purchased the extended service contract. After less than five years of owning this sofa, one of the back cushions broke down and lost its shape. Please keep in mind that we are a retired couple, with no kids living here, and the sofa receives only normal to minimal wear and tear. We filed a claim with the third party insurance company for this inferior cushion, only to be denied because for some unexplained reason back cushions are not covered, only seat cushions are covered, which seems ridiculous. I then contacted Steinhafels directly hoping that they would rectify the issue by issuing me a new back cushion, but to no avail. The whole reason behind us purchasing this sofa from Steinhafels, in the first place, is because we were under the impression that they had quality merchandise and exceptional customer service and stood .behind their product. Evidently, this is definitely not the case, and we will never do any future business with Steinhafels againReview from Charlotte J

Do not purchase a mattress from this store!! Purchase a Dream Cloud mattress from this store in ************* because the mattress had great reviews had, they told me to wait 72 hours for it to fully expand. Of course that's not what the manufacturer said on the internet. Contacted them 2 days after the 72 hours to let them know that the mattress felt like a used *************************** felt like I was sleeping on a ski slope in only 2 days. There was also issues with the sides, when I sat down on the side of the bed I slid right off the bed. Because I'm a senior citizen I have to hop over the side of the bed & into the middle section or else I will slide off the bed and hurt myself. The store told me to call back after another week but they were pretty sure they were not going to exchange it, & she was right. Spoke with **** in the warranty department, not sure why because I wanted an exchange. He was one of the most rudest persons I have ever talked to, he sounded like he was half sleep and he let me know he had no intentions on exchanging this mattress right away, but then he wanted me to do all the work instead of them coming out to check out the mattress. They tried to say it was because I didn't pay for a warranty, however I did pay for a warranty but the mattress was not included. If you purchase your mattress at another store you will get at least one two or three weeks trial period, but not at this store. Don't take a chance because if you have any issues with the mattress they will refuse to talk to you or just make excuses. Will be filing a complaint with a Better Business Bureau.Review from Diane L

We purchased two chairs from Steinhafels 6 months ago. They were for our small sunroom in our condo so they actually don't get used much as all. In fact, I only used one chair a few times because they were small in size so they would work in our tiny sunroom. My husband never used the chairs because he has his big screen TV in our rec room and doesn't ever sit in the sunroom. The spring broke on the one chair that I used and Steinhafels said it was not under warranty even though we only had the chair for 6 months. They said they would charge us for the repair at $150.00 plus charge us for the part and tax. We did get an independent furniture repair man to fix the chair, but if that is how Steinhafels treats their customers, I do not recommend buying from them.Review from Dawn F

I purchased a 3 seater fake leather brown sofa electric cord recliner. It was good for a year. The springs are coiling up and medal bars are hurting our legs. The arm rest feels sore on our arms due to inadequate furniture cushions, the back of the two left and right side seats as well as the seat cushions are completely caved in. We don't sit in the couch and feel comfortable. It's shocking because steinhafels has been crafting furniture since the 1930s. We bought a reclining chair and had no problems with it. The reclining couch is super painful and we paid in cash also underneath the entire couch it's decinegrating yellow chunks and pieces of foam. **** and I have only owned this regretful purchase for about three years. I used to work for ********** wards selling furniture and I know a lot about furniture I also know it is wrong to sell people clearanced furniture claiming that it's quite a deal 100% comfortable only to find out that it is causing tremendous back pain stiff joints and a nightmare we are looking for compensation back of the couch to get a new couch to our standards we have contacted the better Business bureau today because we feel it goes against company policy when you call them which we did and they said sorry there's nothing we can do you chose to buy it so that's what you get the person was very rude to us I was very unhappy with how that was done I know we are in the computer I don't know his name he said we were not in this system I know from furniture selling experience everyone who buys something from a furniture store is in a computer because it was shipped to my apartment we bought a bed we had to get rid of the bed and get a Brooklyn bed delivered we should have returned that bed but we did not we have the chair we love the chair we have the couch unfortunately and don't love it. I would appreciate it if somebody would get a hold of me and please reason with us because this was a couch that was over $1,000. ?? Sincerely **** and ****.Review from Dominic G

Terrible customer service and will try and sell you damaged and used goods at inflated prices. The General Manager Nick ***** is woefully under qualified to perform a customer facing role and simply exacerbated a situation regarding a return instead of offering a solution. I have sent a direct message to Andrew ********** (President) and to Jim ******** (District Manager) to get their take on the situation and I am awaiting a response.Review from Paula M

I had a special order sofa made 3 years ago. The frame is coming apart in the back of it so I called Steinhafels. My sofa came with a limited lifetime warranty on the frame. Steinhafels said because that company is no longer in business I am out of luck. They couldn't even send a repairman out. They weren't going to do anything about it. I will never buy anything from this company again.Review from Brianna G

DO NOT buy at Steinhafels! (any location) A year and a half ago, my elderly mother bought a Lazy Boy electric lift chair for $2,000, and purchased the $250 VIP care package. Over 2 months ago, the chair stopped working. (will not move in the up, down or lift direction) I contacted the Madison West side store where we purchased the chair, and was told that they use a 3rd party for the repair service. (*******) Starting that process was a nightmare. They requested a multi paragraph description of the problem and "3 photos." I took photos of the chair, and the remote. They responded with a request for a picture of the receipt. OK, I did that. Then they requested a photo of the code underneath the chair, that required flipping the lift chair upside down! Did that- and waited. They decided the remote was broken. (Based on my description alone, and without ever sending a technician to look at the chair) Waited approx. 6 weeks for a new remote. I installed the new one- and nothing-doesn't work!. They finally sent a repair person from ******* ********* *********** (another 3rd party) and his diagnosis was the "control panel." Ordered that part- took another 6 weeks, then scheduled another repair person to install it, and it still doesn't work. Now the diagnosis is the "wiring" and now that is in the order process. I have not been given a timeline yet of that part. I have called Steinhafels customer service MANY times, and have spoken to several different people, and the motto is "not our problem. You need to deal with *******." I have even broken down in tears over the phone trying to solve this problem for my almost 90 year old mother with mobility issues, and I have yet to speak to anyone who has any sympathy with this situation. This has caused so much stress for my mother. I will never buy at Steinhafels Furniture again, and I will make sure that I tell everyone about this very negative experience. I do not have any hope that the chair will ever get fixed.Review from Kelly G.

WARNING - BRING YOUR DEVICES AND POWER CORDS WITH WHEN SHOPPING TO CHECK COMPATABILITY PRIOR TO PURCHASING & DELIVERY! THIS WILL SAVE YOU LOTS OF TIME AND MONEY!!Here's a link to my review & their response ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* Further to my review, they have picked up the furniture and issued a PARTIAL refund! After 8 weeks of dealing with issue after issue and their condescending and disrespectful customer service manager, I want nothing more than to be as whole as I was prior to my purchase. Issue a full refund!Due to character limits, I will post only bullet points from my official review: - delivery crew could not find all power cords - the missing cord was inside the chair - the USB-C ports do not work with most cords - their solution is to go out and buy cords until you find one that works. - replacement of ports didn't work - the options offered were $150 credit OR full refund & pick-up of furniture I opted for the full refund. However at this point, their full refund is short $220!
