This company is attempting to collect money from me on a case filed by another company, without notification to me in 2019. It is now 2023 and they are requesting payment plus interest on a collection I know nothing about.

This firm is in fact attempting to collect a debt, specifically a judgment obtained in Marathon County baring case # **SC2423. This judgment being duly rendered by a court remains actionable for 20 years from the date of its entry. While *********************, also known as **************, alleges that we did not provide her with a notice, we have notified of our efforts to collect this debt which is why she is filing a Better Business Bureau Complaint. As far as her complaint that we did not notify her back in 20**, this makes no sense as we just received the account from our client on 12/14/2022. With respect to her complaint about the interest, there is nothing we can do or say about that as judgments in ********* earn interest as a matter of law. **********************, also known as *************,  further asserts she knows nothing about this however the fact a judgment was entered against her suggests otherwise.

This law office, collection agency, was hired by a company to collect from from me which I completely understand. However five years ago I was able to prove that they could not garnish my wages because I receive state assistance. In 2020 I updated my address with them and advised them that nothing has changed. Well a couple of months ago they decided they were going to take me back to court again, and they sent Communications to an address that I had 10 years ago. Well I was able to find out about all of this and I called yesterday and spoke with the account manager. She was like oh I don't know what happened we sent notice to appear to your old address but for some reason we've had your new address since 2020. She admitted this on the phone and I did have her on speaker phone and have a witness to this call. While I was on the phone with her I sent her an email screenshot of proof that I still receive state assistance in the form of food stamps and ********* oh, and she was like well I mean we'll get around to it don't worry about it even if it takes a little bit of money out of your pay until we get it fixed it's not a big deal. We yes it is a big deal because by state law you cannot garnish wages of anyone who receives food stamps or ********* I supplied this proof and she was like well we did send you the paperwork you might just have to wait I do see that it went to your new address in ******. Well I contacted the post office yesterday and no they did **** send anything to my new address they sent it to my old address and now they are ignoring my phone calls. This company and attorney are attempting to illegally garnish wages from me after I have supplied proof to them. This company needs to be shut down and this attorney needs to have his law license revoked.

I have been having garnishments taken out of my check for 3-4 months my last check however also had a garnishment that was not supposed to be taken. Apparently they are supposed to send a stop pay to prevent it and they never did. They dont answer the phone and now have an additional almost $400 they shouldnt.
