I have a residential ******* standby generator. I also have a 10 yr extended warranty. My generator stopped working and I called ******* and got some names of certified technicians to work on it because of the warranty. I chose Adams Heating and Cooling. They came on 2/23/22. They told me at that time that they could not pull up the warranty in their system and that I would have to pay for what was done that day. I wrote them a check for $238.50. I was told that I needed to call ******* and check on the warranty and that they would hold on to the check and once they saw that I did have a warranty, they would mail my check back to me. I called ******* immediately and got all my warranty info and called Adams with the info and asked that they mail me my check back. A couple days later, the check cleared my bank. They cashed the check! Did not send it back to me!! They said they had to order the part needed. It took a month to get the part. They came out to fix it and I was told by the tech that the owner had told him that I needed to pay for everything and that when they got paid by ******* that they would then reimburse me. I said absolutely not!! I called ******* and ******* called them and told them that they were not to collect any more money from me. I had paid for a warranty and that they needed to reimburse the $238.50 to me as well. They said ok. When they tried to fix it, they realized that they had ordered the wrong part so they had to order it again. They finally got the correct part on 4/12/22 and fixed the generator. I still had not received my money. I called them a couple times after that asking for my money. Never received it. I actually forgot about it until today 7/6/22. I called ******* and was told that they couldn’t do anything about it. I called Adams and the girl said she was the only one there and knew nothing about it. That she would have to call me back. I want my $238.50! They are so disorganized. I will never use them again.
