Plese see attached PDF for complete narrative. Business attempted to scam my son and me on maintenance work. We called to get a quote for head gasket replacement, the lady looked up labor hours and parts costs, she did this while on phone and quoted a range 800-1300 dollars. We dropped the car off to get a call two days later saying they had it apart and had to send the cylinder head to machine shop and the new quote is 1824. A week later the same lady called and said that they had it apart and the engine block was cracked in three places, that was a Friday and she said she'd call Monday for a new quote, they had to find an engine. I called her and asked a few questions, and it triggered a lot of yelling. I picked it Monday morning due to the customer service and the way the billing escalated. Again, a lot of yelling, see narrative. Get it back to my own shop and realized that there is absolutely nothing wrong with block or the head. They were looking at tool marks on top of the head gasket still glued to block. I went ahead with a dye penetrating test for cracks on the block and having the head checked, both tests/checks came back negative. Pictures are attached, one pic is of the engine block before any tests, one is of the block after I used the dye and reactant to show no cracks. The third picture is a scratch that was picked up at Chambers shop. This is a job that should have been done within the original quote or really close to original quote but grew into what was going to be thousands. She quoted 8 hours labor @85 an hour plus parts. 680 plus 250 in parts comes to 930. 125 at the machine shop for checks and a resurface brings it to 1055. The shop is 15 miles away, 30 round trip, 2 dollars a mile for gas another 60 dollars. 1115 dollars. 2 hours of labor to take it down and back, it's not a drop of and return service, another 170. 1285 dollars. I think the only thing being left out is oil change, another 50 dollars. 1335 dollars plus tax.

Someone got pulled over in my 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer. The cop towed my vehicle to chambers auto and towing in Elkview WV. On the 3rd of July. I called them the first time to recover my vehicle on the 5th of July. I was told I could t get my car without the owner of the car, which is my husband Ryan Casto. He and I are currently in the middle of a divorce. Chambers has released my car to me before in the past without my husband being present. I explained to the women that it was my car and I had divorce documents stating this . She still told me no. I tried to get ahold of Ryan and he wouldn't respond back to me. Now they are trying to charge me for 20 days of storage fees. I have been told they can only charge me for up to 4 days of storage plus the cost of the tow. Is this true? If so please help me get my car back. Thank you.

    To Whom it may concern:

Yes we towed said car in on July 3 because it is not legal. Per ******* ***** ******* Department. I do still have the car i have talked to Rachel about the car it is still in her husband's name and under the regulation we can't release it to her. She isn't the owner, and she is in the middle of a divorce if he would come and pick it up, an pay the tow bill she can have it.

I talked to her on July the 26th. She called me and said her divorce will be final on august 8. She hasn't come to the business to even talk to us about said car. we can sort this out when the car is in her name, or he comes up here and says she can have it. We aren't that hard to deal with if people would just come to the business rather than turn us in to you!

    Sincerely

I am being charged for a tow bill twice, when it was only one incident. They had to hook it up twice to tow my car off of private property, because they thought it was a stolen car. When they ran the Vin number it came back not stolen but they decided to hook it up and charge me for two tows.
