On December 6th, 2024, I utilized this company's online form on their website to request their LLC registration service. Without confirming that I met all requirements to register an LLC, they charged me their full price of $199USD for registering the LLC.Shortly after, I received an email from them stating that I had to fill out another form. This form required a passport number, which I do not have. At no time during the initial process was it stated on their website that I would need a *********** emails with their customer service **** *******, I was informed that they couldn't complete the process without a passport, and that I should have done my research. They've refused to refund me for the credit card charge, which is unauthorized, as it would only be an authorized charge if they could fulfill the service they're charging me for - which they can't.Initial Complaint

I had a truly frustrating experience with *********** Attorney. I purchased a one-year ************** subscription, only to receive an email about renewal after 9.5 months and a charge at 10.5 monthsfar earlier than expected. When I reached out to customer service, ****** (supervisor on duty) answered and she was not only unhelpful but also downright rude. Her attitude was dismissive, with no willingness to clarify why my auto renewal happened over 45 days early. Instead of resolving my issue, she simply told me "too bad" for not responding to their email. This lack of customer care and transparency is unacceptable. I just want my $179 refunded so that I can go elsewhere.Business response

Thank you for your clear communication regarding your recent interactions with our team. After reviewing our recent calls and written communications, it appears that your concerns relate to the timing of the renewal charge. Our standard procedure involves charging 30 days in advance of the renewal due date.
While annual report due dates may vary, it's important to note that in the state of *******, annual reports are always due on the first day of the month, regardless of the exact formation date. In your case, since your company was formed on November 30th, 2023, your annual report was required to be submitted by November 1st.
We understand that this may not fully clarify the reason for the 30-day advance charge. The rationale behind this timing is as follows:
Ample Time for Changes: This period provides both you and our team sufficient time to make any necessary updates to the information on the report.
State Compliance Assurance: It helps ensure that your company remains in compliance with state regulations.
Flexibility for Payment Issues: The advance charge allows for adequate time to resolve any payment-related concerns, reducing the risk of missing your filing deadline.
We apologize if there was any misunderstanding regarding our intentions in previous communications. Please rest assured that our aim is to protect you and your company from potential compliance issues with the state. If you would like to speak with us further, we'd be happy to setup a time to reach out directly.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: While I understand the rationale behind this early chargeproviding ample time for updates, ensuring state compliance, and allowing flexibility for payment concernsI would like to address a concern regarding the inconsistency in this policy.
Specifically, I find it perplexing that while the advance charge is intended to facilitate necessary updates, I am not afforded the same flexibility when it comes to making changes to my account, such as canceling it. It seems inconsistent to have an early charge for changes while limiting my ability to enact changes on my end.
Given this context, I respectfully request that you reconsider the charge and allow for the same advance notice in processing cancellation requests as is provided for the renewal process.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.
Regards,

I used to be a client with Wyoming Attorney LLC aka Cloud Peak Law Group, P.C. where they were my registered agent for my LLC. But I could never get anyone to help me with issues. At times I spent in excess of 3 months trying to get someone to help me, sometimes never succeeding. I sent them emails warning that I would have to take my business elsewhere if that kind of treatment continued. It made no difference. Their setup is they have a call center and when they say they'll have someone call you back, it never happens. At one point I was so desperate, I setup a paid meeting with one of their lawyers just to get attention. I was finally able to cancel my business with them and since then I've been paying another company to be my registered agent. The information can even be found under the secretary of state showing I am not a client of theirs. Out of the blue I received a bill for $475 from CT Corporation. I called and spoke with Edgardo Valentin who verified that I am not a client but that this invoice is from their 3rd party company. He verified the address and phone number on the invoice is correct. He told me he would find out what's going on and respond within 24-48 hours. It's been almost 2 weeks. I keep trying to reach out but as I'm used to, Edgardo just like everyone there will not respond. I've attached copies of the emails showing how much I've been trying to get them to respond but it's simply not possible. Their CT Corporation keeps harassing me trying to collect on this very large bill that is dated for 11/01/23 - 10/31/24 when through this duration, I'm registered with the secretary of state having hired another company. I'm not even a client with these people. I emailed the company telling them since we're back to zero customer support, I have to resort to filing a report with the BBB to see some type of action so they tell their 3rd party company to erase this false charge showing up under my name, and to cease and desist.Business response

On August 19, 2023 received email from Agent claiming they were now going to be making a new auto-renewal process, (Dear Marc, We would like to inform you that your upcoming renewal is approaching. Based on overwhelming customer requests to automate the process, we have developed and implemented a new auto-renewal process. Therefore, we will be charging the card on file within the next 30 days.) Reply email with instructions: (if this is something that your company would like to do then you are obligated to allow your Clients/Customers chose this option. Take Notice: You are Not Allowed to charge any amounts on any charge cards that maybe on our Account. If we elect to continue with your company as our "Wyoming" Corporate Agent for another year we will let you know and at that time we will make a new yearly fee payment. We know that our renew will be October 03, 2024 and at this time you are requested to send us a Invoice by Email for the New upcoming October 03, 2023 renew term for Wyoming. If we do not receive this requested Invoice within the next (10) Ten Days we will assume that you no longer want us as a Client, also we are looking at other options for our Wyoming Corporate Listing. Thank you, Wayne Johnson (O) 253-539-8215) We never requested for this Agent to act on our behalf to extend or renew Any Registration for the new year, but they took it upon themselves to "Pay" for another year with our Credit Card Information which was not "Authorized" by me for any New Fees them. We tried to reach out to this Agent with No Success as of yet. We believe that this Agent or Company is Acting in Bad Faith with their Clients. We had made the decision to "Dissolve" Morning Star Group of Companies, Inc from Wyoming due to the fact that we have moved to North Carolina and will be Registering it there. This Agent needs to return any and all funds that they took by "Fraud" from our Business Credit Card due to the fact that we "Never" Requested" their Re-Newel Service.Business response

Hello Clay,
Apologies for the delay in communication. I see that Marc was charged on Sept. 17th for two charges $60.00 and $299 both of which were refunded on 9/22/2023. We offered refunds to all of our clients who did not agree with the new auto-renewal system. Attached is our communications with the client advising him of the new policy and our agreement to refund BOTH charges as well as proof of the refunds in the images below . We were in constant contact with him when he reached out, we do not have other records of communication prior to this. This was communicated and refunded in a timely manner. Please feel free to ask any additional questions to close your investigations into this complaint.

I looked to acquire an LLC in the state of WY so i reached out to Cloud peak law group aka Wyoming LLC Attorney. I successfully purchased on Feb 28,2023 an LLC ($199) with next day feedback with documents. I then as instructed by the company purchased a Subsidiary LLC for the state I would be operating out of in the amount of $524 on Mar 1st, 2023. I since have heard nothing from the company with supporting documents that my subsidiary LLC has been formed. I have called around 15 times as of March 7 and "no one is available" per whoever is answering the phone. Its always said they will give whoever can handle the issue the message.Business response

Hello Clay,
Thank you for reaching out to us. We resolved the issues with **** in March, in regard to this complaint and were under the impression that he was going to withdraw his complaint. He said he wasn’t sure how to withdraw his complaint with BBB, so I am cc’ing him in this email so you can help him with this process. Please let me know if you need anything further from us to close this out.

purchased an LLC and trust through them on December 24th, 2022. after the holiday I saw whthathey filed it under a diffrent name than I paid for and sent them an email. on the 26th oof December Igot an email saying my company has been created with the wrong name etc after numerous emails of them repeatedly say"This order is non-refundable. We formed it to your specifications after you confirmed the details of the name you wanted. You are welcome to order a name change in the services tab or you can place an order for a new company with the appropriate name. Best regards, Brittany" and a phone call stating the same that all I could do after spending 384 dollars is that id have to spend another 150+ to change the name they messed up. even after sending her photographic evidence of them having a malfunction on their end she stated that I was just stuck with it. will not refund or change name. so now i have a unfinished bussniess i cannot use.
