I purchased the house from Trico homes in November 14 2023, at the time of handing over i was told and gave the documentation that outside painting is seasonal, it will be done in spring. Now in September when i contacted them they are saying it is completed. The hardy board is not painted it is primed. I spoke to ******** ****** (Warranty coordinator) and she is not willing to do the work. Without informing me she sent a stranger to my home. I send several requests and it is not competed and ******** ****** is not willing to complete the Job as per the contract. I requested their manager to contact me and still after a month they are not doing it.I have included the documents given to me at the time of Processions.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your concern with the paint.

When you had reached out to our service coordinator in August she had advised you that she would look into this and suggested a meeting with yourself and the exterior painter.  There was some confusion regarding the appointment with the exterior painter, and they attended your home with our site supervisor to assess the exterior paint.  They confirmed that the painting has been completed as per your contract, and passed this information to our service coordinator, who in turn passed this information to you.

We have agreed to arrange a time to have our exterior painter attend and meet with you to assess your concerns with the exterior paint.  An email has been sent to you to propose a date and time for this assessment where we can attend and review your concerns.

Trico homes forced us to take possession of our new build on the 31st of January 2023, with outstanding items that could cause us discomfort (wire shelving, shower glass/door, rear entry stair access, washroom mirrors) under the technicality that the home is habitable and has passed an occupancy inspection. The cooktop is also not hooked up. Trico did not seek out counsel if it was okay by us and did not inform us of any of this deficiencies until the final walk through 7days before possession. We requested an estimated time for this to be done and for a plan to make right the discomfort and our concerns we were dismissed.Trico insists some of these exterior items are seasonal (understandable but how is that safe for us to reside in?)Trico also made the decision for us to use the second bathroom in the house & shoved it down our throats.Trico said the company who was supposed to handle the mirrors and shower glass folded up back mid November 2022 & this was before they issued their first recalled possession letter. Hence they had no alternatives at the time but went ahead to Issue notice of possession without any discussion with us.Below is a reply from a top Trico sales executive when we revolted against closing. If you do not close on your home on time, you will be charged 18% interest per annum on any part of the Total Purchase Price. Do you understand that?In the contract that you signed it clearly states that. Also, in regards to seasonal items, you agreed that the total price is payable to the Builder upon closing without qualification or condition, and no conditions of trust or holdback including, without limitations, any deficiencies, builders liens or completion holdbacks, shall be permitted in connection with the payment of funds in the closing and completion of the sale under this agreement, unless otherwise expressly agreed by the builder, in writing. Also, you signed off on this note, We want trico to correct this and provide recourse for our discomfort.

Trico Homes takes all feedback very seriously.  During the build there were various delays between supply chain issues and labour shortages which contributed to a longer build time.  When Trico Homes issued the possession letter it was our intent to have all items completed.  Due to some delays we were unable to achieve this and did have some outstanding deficiencies at time of move in.  We do recognize that the communication from our end should have been better. Although there were delays we should have reached out to discuss these prior and also provide timelines.  Our team has been in contact with the customer and we have scheduled completion of the remaining outstanding items.  We will continue to work closely with our homeowner to ensure any outstanding items are complete and address their concerns.
