On July 12/23, I entered into a verbal contract with ****** ****** from Aeva Group for the performance of indoor/outdoor renovation services and the supply of the required products all relating to my house at ** ***** *****, Toronto. The verbal contract was recorded in Mr. ******** invoice dated Aug 5. It covered the removal and replacement of the concrete slabs in the basement, garage, waterproofing the exterior foundation of the house, framing, drywall & electrical work in the basement, all at a fixed price of $61,000.00. I paid out to Mr. ****** and he acknowledged receipt of that amount in advance of commencement of the work. To date, Mr. ****** performed only the demolition of the concrete slabs in the basement of my house. No other reasons have been provided for the default and he did not respond to my numerous attempts to discuss the rescheduling of the contract work. Mr. ****** has requested payment of HST payable on the contract price, however the contract does not require payment of HST as a condition of complete performance and notwithstanding numerous requests, he has not provided his HST registration number which is necessary for me to file my HST return. I have estimated that Mr. ****** has done 10% of the work required and therefore I hereby demand repayment of $54,900.00.

I hired ****** ******/Aeva Group to do an interlock and landscaping project on April 22, 2023. The estimation of this project was $28,000 the latest finish date was May 31, 2023. After the demolition which took place a week after the contract was finalized, it took him almost 2 months to show up after the initial digging. He came to work for 2-3 days then disappeared. This pattern repeated over 4 months! When trying to reach him to ask when he was going to finish the project he would return my call via text stating that he will call back shortly. After waiting several hours I attempted to call him again and he would eventually answer my call. He would say that he plans to come sometime next week to complete the project, which he never did. I would like him to return the fence, grass and edge stone deposit totaling $8,175. I asked him several times to refund my deposit but he would always say “I am sending the money or will come to finish off the work tomorrow” but neither was ever done. I have all etransfer records including our text conversation. I just want him to refund my deposit as I’m certain that he doesn’t intend to ever finish the work or provide my refund.

Volkan did work for my son a couple years ago, therefore we trusted that he would do the job according to what we discussed and signed. He promised that he would complete the job by the end of May (the contract/invoice was signed on April 19, 2023). The contract included, waterproofing of our foundation that had a leak, removal of concrete, extending and repairing of driveway and interlock (grass on the side of house) from the backyard to the front of the house. He requested an amount of $13,800 + tax = $15,595. 2 weeks after, we added additional work (flag stone to the porch and a tree removal a total extra cost of $7,100) which was added to the contract and signed. At this time he requested an additional $15,000 more, on top of what we had already given to him, total of $30,595. During the following couple of weeks Volkan repeatedly promised to come and do the work however would not show, or show up for a couple of hours late in the evening and start to do some work and leave it unfinished. He dug up our backyard and foundation, began to remove the tree (damaged the neighbors fence) which caused disputes with our neighbors. He left piles of dirt and debris on our front lawn, then cleaned it up and left a container for many weeks as well. He keeps saying he will finish the job and promises he will come but never complies. We have asked him to give us back our money and he says he will but then doesn't show up. He keeps asking for chances but doesn't do anything about it. We have called the police to inquire our options but would like to get our money back asap because he fooled us, **** repeatedly, took additional money from us and mainly inconvenienced our whole summer. We no longer have access to our side door, all our backyard stuff in ruined, our basement constantly floods with water & mud and our driveway (neighbors too) sewer keeps getting clogged with all the mud that drains into it. Volkan has 2 business names: **** ***** and Laysanview

We hired ****** *./Laysanview Contracting Inc to do interlock work on July 21, 2021. We paid deposit $17,263. He promised to start work in August 2021. He has not shown up to do any work at our house. I am persistently following up with him to do my work through phone calls and text messages, however he keeps saying he will come but he never comes. I called him several times and he would always give excuses saying he is very busy and that he is coming "next week" but he never shows up. He promised us last month in July 2023 that he would start work in one week’s time. The same story repeats. He says he's on his way with the equipment but never shows up. We want him now to just refund our deposit.

We hired Volkan C./Laysanview Contracting Inc to do interlock work on April 20, 2021. We paid deposit $13790. He promised to start work on June 2021. He didn't show up since then. We contacted him several times, and realized that he wouldn't do the work for us. So, we ask for refund on Oct 2021. He agreed and promised to refund, but never. It happened at least 5 times. He said he will come some day or next Friday or next Tuesday or other means... to refund us money, but never happen. The purpose of this complain is to ask for refund.

I hired ******, * in first week of May 2022 for a landscaping project involving my driveway, front porch and back yard. The estimation of this project was $36000. The latest finish date should have been Mid June 2022. After about 4 months with his tricks and traps I have ended up paying him 100% of the agreed amount with only about half of the work done. It took him two months to show up after initial digging. He came to work for about 3-4 days, and he only finished my drive and just started backyard and then disappeared again. Now my front porch is unfished with missing a step which he removed to replace and my backyard interlocking unfinished like a huge construction site. Everything is just a mess with pile of dirt sitting on the main road. After countless attempts he had making promises all along in last few months to finish the job but from last few weeks he has stopped receiving my calls and he is not replying to my text messages.
