    Ordered the second half of a special edition set in January 2024. They estimated to ship them out in May 2024. They sent an email in AUGUST 2024 (3 months AFTER the original ship date) that there were damages to their shipment and they were awaiting the replacements. The replacements were set to be sent out to customers in ********** is not December 2024 and they still haven't shipped out those books and while their website states that they "expect" to ship them out at the end of December, it's looking like they won't ship them out until January 2025. A WHOLE YEAR AFTER THEY WENT ON SALE,Don't recommend this company at all

    I have literally paid for two boxes so far they have sent nothing. They continue to take money out of my bank account and dont actually ship things. They lie and say that all orders placed by a certain point has already shipped which is a lie because nothing has been shipped it even shows unfulfilled on my order history. The book box is a scam and I dont recommend them to anyone. I will be discontinuing my service and going to a different monthly box that actually sends out boxes.

    They shipped me my package and it never arrived. Tracking shows it has been stuck at my **** hub for weeks. They want me to pay $11 to ship me another book, even though I never received the other one and have proof. They said this is their policy. This policy is illegal.

    I preordered a set of books at the beginning of 2024 with the shipping date to be in June. I never heard anything, although they had removed the money from my account immediately after purchase. I requested a refund and was told that I was too late in asking...like I knew they would be this late with shipping. So, I started responding to every single email they sent trying to sell other special editions. Sometimes they would respond back making excuses (dust jackets damaged, lost in the mail, held up in printing). Today, 8 months to the day of placing my order with ZERO follow-up on their part, they finally agreed to give me a refund. I would never order from this company and their practices should be looked into.

    I bought the study series of books last year in october. $115 to be precise, the books were supposed to ship in February 2024. It has now almost been a year since the order and the books are still not here nor have they shipped nor do they seem close to shipping. Its been one excuse after the other. Its now been held up for two months citing the slip covers on the books arent centered and that they had to be reprinted and put on the books. I thought their new shipping facility was supposed to speed things along, but it seems nothing has changed at all. This may well be the very last thing i ever order from them. Not to mention incredibly awful customer service. Attempting to email them either goes unread or you get a snarky response thats completely uncalled for. Its truly disappointing considering how much you pay for the books and everything. I get better service with illumicrate and they are in the **.

    I have purchased from Bookish Box multiple times and it never gets any better. - Their items are always extremely delayed in shipping - They make you pay for expedited shipping even though they have a disclaimer on their website stating shipping takes 2-4 weeks on standard items.- They refuse to cancel orders and refund money even if you are within the cancellation policy window. - Their special edition books are often damaged - They mark up the price of their products exponentially higher than the actual value. - There is no phone number to speak to anyone with complaints or concerns - It takes them 2-4 days to even respond to an email. (It is a disclaimer when you email them that they will respond within 2-4 days)- They take no accountability and blame all quality issues and shipping delays on their supplier. Horrible business practices that never seem to get better.

    As many reviewers stated, Bookish Box is constantly behind on shipping orders. Their 'shipping update' emails are a joke. I have been waiting on a reprint book set that was originally ordered in October of 2021 then shipped to me in March 2022 (if I remember correctly, it was promised to ship in January 2022). The first print had formatting errors making them unreadable. The reprint set was announced weeks after receipt of the unreadable books and since then we have been waiting for these reprints. Only now in February **** have these reprints started to ship out. It's woefully bad business and I wish more people knew the order and shipping issues that plague The Bookish Box.

    I am still waiting on an order from June 2023. When I ask about it, they just say to see the last email about it. They keep giving me the runaround, blaming it on the post office. Then, in the end they have said I won't get the signed copy I paid for, but just an unsigned copy. It's so frustrating, they don't order the books until the month they are supposed to ship and are passive aggressive in email exhanges when you try to figure out why they have held your money hostage for 9 months. I would avoid this company at all costs.

    I didnt subscribe to them but I did place one and only one order with them because I saw they had my favorite book series. $170. My order was placed in July 2023. Its now the end of January ****. There has been numerous Shipping updates on their website.varying from responses like we have reviewed the shipping container to we are working with an outside shipping company to help fulfill our ordersI opened a ticket to request a refund. Trying to receive an order from them is like searching for a unicorn..I just dont think its going to happen. Like honestly are they milling their own paper? All jokes aside their product delivery is awful, response to a shipping inquiry is severely delayed and if your company cannot own, operate and sufficiently fullfill orders then Bookish Box has no business operating a company. Read everyone elses reviews here do not waste your time. There are so many other small businesses that do the same printing you can go through whos practices are legitimate and your business would truely be appreciated by them.

    I had bookish box for a few years before canceling due to lack of product received. I did finally wise up to the fact that they weren't ordering the monthly book until said month it was supposed to go out. That was why they are 3 ish months behind. There is always issues with everyone else but them. When the editions do come in, they are beautiful but it takes way too long. There has never been real transparency with the company and all the leaked information just solidifies the less than ethical business practices. As someone who worked in retail, and had to pack and ship thousands of boxes a day, I can tell you it is manageable with a limited crew. There may be slight delays but when books aren't even in hand until consistently 3 months after the subscription, that feels like there is a bigger issue at play. My theory, and thats all it is, is that they have to crank out new editions to pay for old orders. Which means at some point, the pyramid will come crashing down. I just hope everyone with outstanding orders gets paid back.
