Pattern of Complaint:
BlendJet came to BBB’s attention in September 2018. A review of complaints was completed in March 2024. Complaints on file concern issues with the BlendJet 2 recall from 2023 and receiving the replacement kit.

BBB reached out to BlendJet to address the above issue and received the following response.

BlendJet is conducting a voluntary recall in partnership with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The overwhelming response to this recall, coupled with unforeseen supply chain issues, led to a shortage of replacement kits and prevented BlendJet from meeting the initial delivery estimate of 6 to 8 weeks. As of this writing, replacement base kits are in stock and we have cleared 34% of the backlog; however, it may take through June 2024 to build and ship the entire balance of open base kit orders. BlendJet is shipping these orders on a first-come, first-serve basis. Rest assured that we are doing everything we can to expedite this process. In addition, on April 8, 2024, BlendJet is sending an email explaining shipment delays to consumers who have been waiting for more than 2 weeks for their replacement base kits to be delivered.

In case a consumer with BlendJet 2 has not checked to see if it their unit(s) has been recalled, or they have not  already submitted for a replacement base kit, the fastest way to do this is to go to www.blendjet.com/safetyandrecall and follow the steps below:  
1.       Click on the “BlendJet 2 Recall – December 28, 2023” bubble.
2.       Click on the “Check your serial number here” link.
3.       Enter your serial number in the “Serial Number Search” bar and click next.
4.       Re-enter the serial number as a secondary verification check.
5.       Follow the prompt – if your BlendJet 2 is subject to recall, complete the registration form.

If a consumer has already registered for a replacement base kit and received confirmation their order has been entered via email, or if they are currently in contact with BlendJet’s support team (safety@blendjet.com), no further contact with BlendJet is required. When a consumer’s base-kit order ships, BlendJet will send to the consumer’s email a confirmation with a tracking number of the shipment.

We recognize how integral the BlendJet 2 portable blender has become to people’s routines, and we share the frustration caused by these delays. We want to assure everyone we are committed to resolving this problem as swiftly as we can and thank them for their understanding and patience as we work diligently to rectify this situation.

    In January 2024, I contacted Blendjet regarding their recall. On January 14, 2024, process was initiated to get a replacement unit but only after I made my current blendjet permanently inoperable. Blendjet sent me a confirmation number acknowledging replacement would be shipped.On January 11, 2025, I contacted Blendjet to follow up on the year long replacement process. A responded email was sent to me and starting We do our best to respond to requests within 24 hours, however we are currently experiencing higher than normal volume so responses could take up to 72 hours. Almost two weeks later, I have not received a response.

    As did most other users of BlendJet2, I followed their instructions back in December 2023 to cut my seal on my unit and send it to them with a claim for a replacement base due to issues with the blender coming apart and causing injury. It's been over a year and they have not sent me a replacement. They have responded to repeated emails basically stating they are working on it, but my neighbor sent hers in the same day I did and received her replacement months ago. I have seen posts on ******** that people are getting their replacements after filing with the BBB. Please help me get my replacement! Thank you.

    I was informed on December 28, 2023 to do a voluntary recall on a Blendjet 2 blender I purchased from them. I completed the recall form on December 29, 2023 and have confirmation of the completion of the form. I was informed I would receive a replacement product within 4-6 weeks. As of today, January 25, 2025, I have not received my replacement. I have a friend who was also in the same situation with Blendjet and have reached out by email to the company several times over the past year and only received her replacement once she contacted the Better Business Bureau. It is a very disappointing situation considering I have bought other products from them including another Blendjet that this is how they treat their loyal customers. I had nothing but good things to say about their products until I was put into this situation.

    I had followed recall instructions on March 2024 for BlendJets I had purchased in July 2022. I sent the company videos of me cutting up the gaskets to the blendjets as requested by Blendjet. I did so as a requirement for receiving a replacement for each of the four blenders I purchased. This is what they said I needed to do for each one to obtain a free replacement base and matching lid. It is now almost a year later and I have received nothing. I have emailed the company numerous times but just get the same generic response, to just be patient. They never follow up with any kind of updates. This is unacceptable and they refuse to refund my money but will not give any timeline for actually ever receiving the four replacements. I feel they are not being truthful. I am out $150.00 and deserve some type of fair resolution to this issue.

    My blendjet was part of the voluntary recall and was promised replacement parts. Its been over a year and multiple emails and this still has not been resolved. They keep claiming supply issues is the problem but they keep releasing products.

    Dear BBB,I am writing to report an ongoing issue regarding the BlendJet recall process initiated at the end of 2023.I followed BlendJet's instructions for the recall. However, despite contacting their customer service multiple times over the past year, I have not received a replacement unit.During this time, BlendJet has continued to market and sell new units while citing "supply issues" as the reason for not fulfilling replacement obligations. I have been without the use of my BlendJet for over a year and now suspect they do not intend to replace my unit-or those of others-despite customers purchasing in good faith.This situation feels unfair and unacceptable.     Received information in December 2023 alerting me about the Blendjet recall. I disposed of the possibly faulty parts and registered my product to receive the new blendjet kit. After 3 attempts now to ask about the replacement (over a year now) I still have not had any concrete information regarding the replacement. This is ridiculous! I also have proof of purchasing the extra Extend Protection Plan which I would think would also put me in a position to receive a replacement sooner than later but that apparently made no difference. I ask for help from Blendjet to find a solution and please send me a proper replacement as soon as possible. Making your paying customers wait this long is absolutely not okay. A shame to be in business if you cant serve your customers as a reputable company.

    I submitted my registration for the recall at the beginning of December. At the time, I didn't receive a confirmation so I emailed them for verification and they told me I would receive a shipping confirmation when my order ships. When I asked for a timeframe, they said they are hoping that would be within 4-6 weeks. It's now over 6 weeks. I asked if they have any update about a week ago and no response yet which is why I'm writing this complaint.

    I bought a Blendjet 2 blender from Blendjet company on February 2021 for $46.23. Blendjet had a recall last year for their Blendjet 2 blender product due to overheating fire hazards and the blades coming off. I followed their recall protocol last June 2024 and was told I would get a replacement but havent received anything. I have contacted them and they still have no timeframe or idea when they will send one, they arent helpful in any way. I would like a refund or replacement ASAP.
