I bought 2 photo ops and 2 autographs for a guest that then cancelled. Was informed refund would be 6-8 weeks and it has been more than 12. I have emailed and received no info, just generic replies and a promise to call me which they did not. This was a gift and lot of money, over the whole holiday season I was out both.Initial Complaint

On October 13th 2024, ***** ********* and ******* Dean ****** were to be guests at the **************************************** convention. They cancelled and Creation sent an email that all funds gone towards those guests photo ops and autographs would be refunded in an 8-10 week period after the convention date. It is now 12/23/24 and I have received the refund for the single ******* Dean ****** photo op I purchased, but not the 5 ***** ********* photo ops, 1 ***** ********* and ****** ****** photo op, and the 1 ***** ********* autograph. This amounts to $1446.30 (excluding fees) that I have yet to see refunded to the two accounts I used. I have reached out to Creation 3 times and have received the standard, be patient, your refund is processing response. However, this timeframe is unacceptable and we are now past the 8-10 week refund timeframe given. This issue needs to be resolved and addressed immediately otherwise I will seek legal advice. Needless to say, I do not recommend purchasing from this company.Initial Complaint

On April 12, 2024 I purchased an autograph ticket to obtain an in-person autograph from ***** ******** to be used at Creation's Star Trek Las Vegas convention to be held August 1 - 4, 2024. Cost was $40.00 plus $13.85 in fees for a total of $53.85.On June 26, 2024, Creation Entertainment posted an update to their website saying, "Unfortunately, ***** ******** is unable to attend the convention. If you purchased ******* solo photo ops and/or his autographs, we will be refunding you directly."It is not the middle of December and I still have not received my refund. I have emailed Creation Entertainment directly on the following occassions to attempt to obtain a refund:11/15/24 - Emailed Creation about a refund, received a reply on 11/18 saying "Please allow me to loop in the head of our ticketing department to help you with this."12/4/24 - Emailed Creation a follow up request about my refund.12/10/24 - Emailed Creation an additional follow up about my refund. They replied on 12/11 saying, "I am very sorry for the delay in response. I purchased autograph and photo op tickets for a celebrity that cancelled. I was originally told it would take up to 8 weeks to get a refund. After the 8 weeks I contacted them and was told it would take 8-10 weeks. It has now been 12 weeks and I have not received my refund. They do not answer the phone at the company, and say so on their machine. I have emailed numerous times and either received rude, unprofessional replies or no reply at all.Initial Complaint

1) ************ purposely deceived customers into buying more expensive, ticketing options by not clearly disclosing which celebrities would be appearing on which convention days. 2) ************ failed to provide refunds when featured celebrities canceled their appearances. Customers pay for services they do not receive. 3) ************ charged a fee to provide a digital copy of a photograph, then failed to deliver the digital version. 4) ************ does not respond to complaints, or does not respond in a timely matter, nor do they resolve complaints. Dispute Details:On September 22, 2024, my daughter asked me to buy tickets to ******** convention in ********, **********. The convention date would be October 26 and October 27, ******* viewing the website, there were a number of celebrities that were expected to attend in which you could buy autograph packages or photo opportunities. It was a two day convention, however, you could not discern which celebrities were attending on which day. As we wanted to meet with two of the celebrities, we were forced to buy a ticket for general admission that would cover both days. With fees and taxes, the general admission tickets for two cost $233.50. At the same time we purchased photo ops for two celebritiesAntony ***** and ***** Caponewhich totaled $262.30. On October 22nd (4 days prior to the convention), we reviewed the creation entertainment website, and learned that ******* ***** had canceled his planned appearance. With ******* canceling, we now knew we only needed to attend one day to fulfill the photo opportunity with ***** ******. Based on pricing, I had paid double the amount necessary. I asked the company to be refunded or at least upgraded, which still would have cost less than I paid. They did not respond prior to 10/26. To date, I have no refund for ******* appearance, no refund for double admission, and no digital pic that I paid for while at convention. I am owed $278.15.Initial Complaint

Creation entertainment is like a comic con they host a convention with celebrity guest. On the website it states if a guest cancels you are able to receive credit for the convention or a refund. I emailed them asking if I could receive a refund and they stated they would send me a refund only for the photo op and autographs and not for the general admission tickets. I was more than fine with that. They emailed me about everything I needed to include to receive one I filled out all the information and then waited. I sent an email about a week later asking about the refund and they stated it would take about 8 weeks. I waited 12 weeks and never heard anything. I emailed them stating I havent received any news and was going to make a complaint they asked for my number to resolve the issue. No one has tried to contact me. This was over a $500 refund. I was very patient and waited all the necessary time I had to wait and still no refund. I have all of the screenshots and emails stating I would receive this refund. I also have screenshots of the refund policy and I will attach all of those photos to this complaint.Initial Complaint

I purchased a ticket for a photo op with a celebrity who canceled, they sent an email out saying I will be refunded, I have not been refunded and I have emailed their customer support email 3 separate times. It was over $100 and I still have the original ticket I printed out. It seems as if they feel if they just ignore you, you will just go away.Initial Complaint

On December 25, 2023 I paid Creation Entertainment $1000 deposit towards a cruise. Their website stated this deposit is fully refundable. The cruise is not until November 2025.I emailed September 30, 2024 to request a refund. On October 3, 2024, I received a response that my request was sent to the refund department. I sent a follow up email October 17, 2024 asking about the status of my refund and a timeline for receiving my refund.I sent a 3rd email on October 25th and received a response on October 30th to please allow them time to find out the status of my refund.I emailed again on November 11th and have been completely ignored. Due to unforeseen medical circumstances, I am unable to attend and have requested a refund. However, my request has been denied despite my efforts to communicate my situation, including providing relevant medical documentation.I believe that Creation Entertainment has not adhered to fair consumer practices in this instance, as I acted quickly to resolve the issue upon realizing my inability to attend the event.I contacted Creation Entertainments customer service within 24 hours of the purchase to request a refund. Unfortunately, I was met with a refusal based on their non-refundable policy, despite the circumstances surrounding my request.Background: I have been diagnosed with serious medical conditions requiring immediate treatment and surgery. Urgent Follow-Up: Refund Request for Upcoming Event - Time Sensitive Dear BBB Team, I am writing to provide additional context and emphasize the urgency of my situation regarding my complaint against Creation Entertainment. The event in question is set to take place in just two days, and I am deeply concerned that I will not receive a response from the company before the activity occurs. I initially reached out to Creation Entertainment regarding a refund due to unforeseen medical issues and sent multiple emails explaining my circumstances. Unfortunately, their response has been delayed and unclear, which has left me in a difficult position given the rapidly approaching event date. I did everything I could to notify the company promptly, and I acted within the appropriate time frame, but the lack of timely communication has made resolving this matter very challenging. I fear that if the event takes place without a resolution, I may permanently lose the opportunity for a refund, as policies often become stricter once the event has passed. On May 7, 2024 I pre-purchased an autograph at a Creation Entertainment event in ********, ** on June 30. The person I purchased an autograph for cancelled their appearance so I requested a refund while at the event. They stated it would take up to 10 weeks for the refund to be processed. It has been 13 weeks since the event and I have not received a refund. I have emailed the company weekly for the last 5 weeks or so and have not received an answer specifying when I can expect my refund (emails attached as PDF). Most emails were completely ignored and there is no phone number available that I can call for assistance. Please let me know if additional details are needed.
