I keep getting random spam text messages to my iPhone from WhatsApp. The messages say Im invited to be a part some BTC thing and to click the link. The messages are not sent by a phone number. I tried contacting WhatsApp support and was answered by a robot and when I asked any questions or any statement I received the exact same response every time. I tried contacting again, and have had no help. My complaint is they are selling information without consent, and not having actual support when needed.

I have a few phones and I use WhatsApp on each phone with its own different phone numbers the other day I was setting up a new phone I had all of the phones including the old phone in my hand as I was testing the new phones WhatsApp I sent a test text from my other number to my new phone WhatsApp and I said hey a response came from my own phone back to me from my phone number saying hey how are you I did not send I sent message I reported this to WhatsApp, this is obviously some form of security breach issue and they have not cared and told me they saw nothing wrong that's impossible how can a message be sent back to me from my own phone that I didn't send they need to research this because otherwise there is a breach in WhatsApp and that's not acceptable a security breach

I have been trying to use the WhatsApp cellphone app for video chat, but when I connect with someone, the camera and the microphone are disabled. I press over and over on the icons trying to enable them, but nothing changes. I finally wrote to WhatsApp Support for help. This was their response:Please ensure the permissions for desired features are enabled on your device. For example, if you want to share your Camera with WhatsApp, that must be enabled. Go to device Settings > Apps or ******************** > WhatsApp > Permissions. The path above might vary from phone to phone. Contact your phone's manufacturer for instructions. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We'll be happy to help!I followed the instructions, but I saw that the options that they mentioned do not appear on my phone. I wrote back to them:You said "Go to device Settings > Apps or ******************** > WhatsApp > Permissions." No such option exists in Settings. I have Settings, but the options do not include the options that you mentioned.Their response:We've recently responded to your inquiry. Please review our most recent response for more information. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We'll be happy to help!I received NO RESPONSE AT ALL, not via email, not via chat app, and not via SMS. I wrote back to ask them where they sent it, but not surprisingly, they haven't responded. Meanwhile, I can't use the app for video chat, and I am keeping in touch with someone who is sick with COVID. This is VERY SERIOUS!!!

Hello team, despite of my genuine use of whatsapp from many years in the past using the same number with my friends family, my account has been banned. I am getting vague response on the reason for ban. It makes sense to ban users that have malicious intent, unfortunately I have been an innocent victim of the process. I have reviewed accetable user policy and responsible use of whatapp articles. I confirm that none of those have been violated by me. I am open for wha to review all my messages for any violation of the terms, conditions, responsible use of whatsapp. They will know that I have been a genuine user. I request to reactivate my account and confirm.Perhaps my account has been a victim of some kind of system hack beyond my control or some other occurance of similar sort. I would urge to check the traces of such flagged messages which resulted in the ban of my account and will find that nothing has come from my whatsapp device. Or if someone has reported and blocked my account, should check the latest message from me to the person just before they reported and blocked my account. Will find nothing that violated the accetable use policy and responsible use policy. As a seasoned IT leader/professional, I would infact advice to block messages from being sent to non contacts from whatsapp, do natural language processing of the latest message that resulted in report and ban from a receiver of the message. I have lot of professional/personal conversations in progress that involves medical issues, investments etc., A non genuine user will not have these. I have never received a request from a user to stop sending them messages let alone to honor that request. I have never sent message to an user that is not in my contact list.I have been receiving lot of junks and spams to my number from whatsapp. They should be banned not a genuine user such as me. Infact recent days i reported and blocked spam numbers that sent me unsolicited messages.

My account was banned for no reason I have not violated any terms of service. My account was legitimate and I rarely even used it. I believe my account *** have been compromised but Whatsapp refuses to look into it. When trying to contact support all is a get is an automated response. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. It really feels like they are trying to cover up a security breach in their app.

My account has been from WhatApp for a reason unknown to me. I never did anything to violate terms of service and rarely even used this account. I have reason to believe that my account *** have been compromised. WhatsApp is not responding to my concerns and rather than investigating my account I am receiving an automated message stating the below:##- WhatsApp Support -##Hi,We have reason to believe your account activity has violated our Terms of Service and decided to keep your account banned. We received a large number of complaints about your account and to protect our users' privacy, we won't disclose the nature of the complaints.Unfortunately, responses to this email thread won't be read. This is unacceptable and I demand to know exactly what terms I violated and if my account was compromised.

On 20th February, I was going to check my WhatsApp and when I opened it a pop up message came up saying your phone number is banned from using WhatsApp. Please contact customer support. Over the past week nearly 2 I have been trying to contact WhatsApp support and I got a automated message saying I violated the terms of service my account is staying banned. I have apologised to them several times on email and got no response and on their contact form which says they will give a response after 3 days and I still got nothing. I use WhatsApp on a daily basis to contact friends and family and class mates now thats gone Ive got no update about anything so Im very behind on everything. I would appreciate if WhatsApp unbanned me.
