I purchased a ***** package and was not able to activate or download the software. I called an 866 number I found for McAfee support and I was somehow connected to Qikbay. To "*****". He sold me a package for $279 because apparently, the one I had was no good. It took "*****" and "*********************" over 3 hours to install the program and clean my computer so it would work faster. ***** also told me that I could not use my Capitol One card I must use another card. After Qikbay was done servicing me I called someone I knew in IT and they informed me it sounds like a scam to call back and cancel. I called back within the hour and both numbers I was given to call did not work. I called ****** and they told me I purchased the software from a third party. I was beyond confused I was told to call an 888 number and I had the pleasure of arguing with *** about why I could not cancel nor get a refund.

Read all of the other reviews. This company is a predator. Got an email charging $999 to renew McAfee four months before renewal date. Refused to refund that amount, offered the "only thing we can do" 3-year subscription for $379. Now, logging into my McAfee account, I see that I still have the original subscription and the new subscription. Ironically, we only have an ipad left that doesn't need virus protection, but they walked us through adding McAfee to that. McAfee needs to block this company from selling their product.

I agree with all the other reviews re this sham company. Last year I fell for their line of being a reputable company and wound up paying $279 for ****** Safe browser that was supposed to scan ads and bogus sites. The added ****** was supposed to be for 3 years. A guy called ***** maybe from ***** from the accent I heard called us and said they noticed a breach in our network and they would take over my PC and look at everything. After almost an hour of them supposedly checking files he said that I should buy a new McAfee coverage for $279 for one year and $379 for 3 years. I told him my PC was already protected without having any of his services and I was not interested. He pressured me saying hes been in this business for many years so he knows what he talking about. I said you sure do, and you're not scamming me this time. He said ****** costs $279 a year and I told him it costs $20 a year. Now I'm worried because they were into my system and hope they didn't steal any info from me. I'm changing all my PWs. I can't believe I fell for it last year.

I looked up ****** number as I am a returning customer. Be very weary. It looks legitimate and it is not. Charged me for 1 year of their tech and when I wiped their apps from my computer they called and yelled at me. I tried to get refund they refuse. I called credit card and stopped charge and changed card. They emailed me I answered that since the only offered a slight discount and I wanted a complete refund and cancelation of all services they would have to deal with card company. I have filed complaints. They call me daily . Once the card company is down with their part I will block and delete but for now I am keeping records they have called me daily since Oct 31st they have yelled at me and demanded I do as they say . So I refuse to answer anymore calls. Word to the wise ensure you are calling mcafee ****** let me down again

This company claimed to be a reseller for McAfee. Told me they were refunding a payment and then charged me for three years of protection. They signed a docusign document with my name but not with my authorization and would not let me read it first nor did I receive a copy of it. I was given certain phone numbers to call and they made sure I knew not to call other tech support numbers. I cancelled my card and changed my passwords. Would love my money back; it was a scam.

This company seems to be a scam. We paid $379 for 3 years for virus protection on our 3 computers. The MacAfee on;y showed up on two of out devices (we ]paid for multiple). the started getting scam emails for payments. I looked the company up after the fact (my error). Suggest BBB look into this, and possibly government. I put 1 star because I had to indicate, but I would give them minus stars. They seem to be crooks

Claimed to be Mcafee and sounded official. I had searched for Mcafee customer service and their number came up. **************** was polite but not friendly Indian accent was not unusual for this type of call. I was trying to get out of my Mcafee auto renewal. He seemed to know about my McAfee subscription and what devices were covered. He offered 3 years coverage no auto renewal for $180 and said he would refund McAfee current $149 and end auto renewal. I let get remote access to enter our credit card., address and phone. Told me we would get email confirmation from a different name co. I started getting suspicious because he was kind of gruff and grumpy, not typical customer service. Then when we were waiting on hold for their technician to get on the call and start downloading stuff I found a different Mcafee CS number and called them the number I called originally was NOT McAfee confirmed by the real McAfee. So I hung up. He kept calling back so we blocked his number which ********** deems is a scam #. I didnt find any signs of remote control software on our PC. I made sure McAfee was active and scanning. I think we are good there since tech support never got on the phone with us. Called our cc company and got the pending $180 charges rejected and ordered a new card. We have norton Lifelock so I think we are ok but BEWARE!

This place is an overall scam and refuses to give refunds despite how bad the customer service is. They say they are a partner company with ******, however, if this is true, I feel like Mcafee should part ways with them. I had an issue happen to me that is too long to write for the review box, however, to everyone out there, please do not use this tech company and ensure that when you contact ******, that you are contacting the correct customer service/tech number to avoid from going thru a hassle. They also go by the name of a "********/********". If there was a zero stars button, I would click it.
