Scam!!!! I made a complaint with my bank against this company. They went any copied my signature from the student loan papers and sent them to the bank. I never signed the paperwork that the sent to me. They told me they would help eliminate my student loan debt. I could not find them with the BBB at all. The student loan company told me to file a complaint with the attorney generals office. I will do that on Monday.

Every single other comment on here is exactly my story. I have nothing to add other than the pathetic opportunity to contribute an already overwhelmingly score that probably doesn't affect anything anyway. I was already poor to begin with. Here's the thing: If you're reading any of this, it's probably because, like me, you almost (or did) get scammed. So instead of telling you about my experience and rehashing all the stuff everyone else has already said, I'd like to remind you of something that you may not be sure of.You aren't stupid.I mean, okay, you MIGHT be. I don't know you, who knows, I don't care. The point is, these people MADE you FEEL stupid. Tricks and lies, advanced though they may be, that's all they are.So, if you're stupid, you probably won't ever know it. But if you are SURE that you're NOT, and they made you FEEL that way... Don't let them. These people didn't just cost me everything. They made me think less of myself, hate myself, feel embarrassed and ashamed, and the darker version of those feelings that I am incinuating that manifested into physical action. But I have friends. If anyone that works at this place has any friends, I do wonder. I wonder if they know what you do for a living.I wonder if your mom knows. Your partner. Your kids.If you work at this awful, evil place, and if you're reading this: They don't know what you do for a living. And so, they don't know you. And so, while you feed what you need to with the bread that is born from the suffering of other people, try your hardest to forget that the lives you are costing this world are worth more than your own. Ropes are cheap, and no one will remember you anyway. Other than what you really were, once everyone is rid of you. In the meantime, buy yourself something nice with the money you stole from those that deserved better than you'll ever hope to be.

Guys, Documents Prep Masters is another version of this same company claiming all the same things. I was on the phone with them for an hour, took $900 or $200+ for 5 months. The story is all the same. It's a major scam. I went to the bank, shut down my card, and locked my credit through Equifax as I gave them my social security number. (This was advised by my bank.) The only major difference is that I didn't receive a letter, they left a voicemail on my phone with a very sweet sounding young lady named *********, but when I called the man who picked up was named ***************************. Further still, when he reached out to my email, his name on there was *****. (I didn't know his name was really ******** until the very end, I just assumed he was ***** the entire time we were chatting.) That should have been a red flag, going from ********* to *****, but I am very trusting and I fell right into their trap, thinking that they all worked together. Lastly, he warned me that I would need to join a welcome call, so we set up a date for one week, and then I received all these texts and emails from different numbers and emails telling me to set up a welcome call. A welcome call for what? (This was on November 8th, 2022, by the way, and they went through my Nelnet Student Loans account.) It all seemed very legit but, looking back, there were a lot of spelling/punctuation errors in their texts and emails. I hope someone is able to put a stop to this soon!

SCAM!! My story is basically the same as most here. FDPS sent a letter that looked "official" and they claim they are working with the **** of ********* to help with loan forgiveness or a new payment plan. They asked me to log onto the Student aid website and download the txt document that contains all of my loan history. They asked for my SS#, which I questioned- why don't they have it already? They claim, they are a 3rd party document service who fills out the paperwork, and therefore they don't have my SS#. I was reluctant but gave it to them anyway, believing them as it seemed they did appear to know the process for all the different loan programs. After getting all of my info, I was transferred to "******" who told me that my loans are forgiven! I just need to sign the paperwork...and send them $799.00. I spoke to the **** who confirmed that they are a scam. I reported them to my ************************* as well as Social Security via CFPB. Today they called me, I told them that I know they are scammers. As I expected the girl started yelling at me. Total SCAM!

Not sure what to do now that this company has all my personal information. I did not give them any money, however what are they going to do with my personal information? I cannot believe that I was fooled for the first time. I should have checked them out first. I thought they were legit since they had my loan amount. Going to report them to social security and hopefully my information is safe. Horrible to think there are companies out there to hurt people who are work hard enough to pay their debt. Not worthy of a one star.

I didnt even want to give them one star! Straight scammers!!! They had my old phone number and my address which made me think it was actually legit. Especially when they throw around the word FEDERAL! So I call try to see whats going on I have them information like an idiot. I never buy into this type of c*** But unfortunately this time I did. I gave them my social, DOB, and they changed my password for me on my federal student aid. Because they asked for my email. And me being a single mom after a horrible divorce with zero help from my childrens father, they literally proceed to tell me that there was a FEE because I qualified for the loan forgiveness program. The fee was 289 a month. For 6 months. She asked for my checking account information. Which I did not give. I told her theres no way I can pay for that. She ( *******) didnt care. Told me shed help me anyway possible. That I had until the 29th of this month to pay it. But start on paying your student loans isnt until august 2022. So I knew it was werid. So I do a little research and call the actual student federal aid. And the lady helps me change my password and tells me theyre scammers. She and both started reading reviews. And they take people information and take out student loans as well as scam people out of thousands of dollars. Evil, vile people. So now after my own stupidity I have to call the social security office and tell them about this scamming company!! THEY DO NOT HELP WITH STUDENT LOANS OR ANY OF THE SORT WHAT SO EVER!!! Dont fall for their thieving evil trap!! I dont understand how people like them sleep at night! Get a real job like the rest of us instead of stealing because you may as well rob a bank in my opinion. Because whats the difference in what they do! Its stealing! And the way inflation is right now people dont need this bull crap!!!! Evil company!

SCAM ! Stay away!! Federal Document Preparation Services FDPS sent me a final notice and called to get more information. Spoke to a gentleman named **** wrote down my information to see if I qualify for the forgiveness program and as soon as they said no credit cards accepted, I instantly knew it was a scam. He was adamant that I needed to pay right away because he could only hold the offer for 2 days. They requested to log into my Financial Aid portal and change my password. Thankfully I declined until I spoke to Mohela. They informed me no applications are being processed until after the August 2022 hold is released. Beware students this is a consolidation that can be completed by you!

Scam. Don't contact them. Was almost convinced given that they provide a legitimate government website. That is because they offer to be an unnecessary middle man service to "find" alternate repayment programs or student loan consolidations. However, all of these programs can easily be found on studentaid.com.

This company sent me a letter that looked like it is from DoE or another Federal government institution. It is very misleading. It looks like you are in default with a LARGE PRINT "FINAL NOTICE". It is not appropriate that they are so misleading. I tend to distrust companies like this who sent out MISLEADING ADVERTISEMENT to drum up business. I am sure the BBB will give them an A+ rating because they are members of the BBB, which makes the BBB rating useless in my opinion. I tend not to believe that a company is good according to a BBB rating.

I received their mailer today. It looks like something that came from DoE. They don't even answer the phone with the name of the company. They just answer with "Student Services.." BE CAREFUL. ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT!
